How to Get AKC Papers I hope someone can help me. My baby, Gus, is a "hand-me-down" - first obtained by a friend of my daughter's from a Yorkie rescue, then to my daughter, then to me. Neither my daughter nor her friend ever applied for Gus's papers. I don't know, but could probably find out, what rescue org. he came from. Would I still be able to get papers for him, or is it too late? |
Just wanted to say hello and welcome to YT!!! Do you have a picture? we love pictures here! there are great people so i'm sure someone can help you answer your question! |

Second issue is that most reputable rescues and animal control always demand spay or neuter so these pups do not have more pups. A reputable rescue will never give up the papers as we have a hugh surplus of dogs in the US. Papers are only important if you are going to breed. Even if you are not going to breed it would be difficult to prove this furbaby was from a certain litter. Enjoy your little one.:D |
I don't know who the rescue is, but Gus was not neutered when I got him. Not interested in breeding; just thought it would be nice to have papers. |
