Hi, i have just read about your dog, well over here in the UK, we call them larger dogs Standard Yorkshire Terriers, and to be honest with you, a majority of people prefer them larger!!! I have Anmaco Malanbre Insolent Miss Penny, if you care to look at her in my gallery. She weighs about 11lbs, is quite long in the body. She comes from a line of breeding 'Malanbre' that goes back 45 years, where they were bred for hunting. Their temperments are excellent, kind gentle dogs when need be, but also she has to get out for her 2 x daily 30mins walk, where she goes sniffing here and there down holes!!! Hope this helps. Gorgeous dog by the way!!! | maybe you can tell me then,, i've been told UK Yorkie breed standard is different from US AKC Yorkie breed standard, ,here,,in the US,, breed standard is 4-7 pounds,, what IS it there in the UK?? Thanks, ,my BIG Girl is 9.2 pounds @ 17 months:aimeeyork |
