Olivia fell 6 and half feet! So tonight I went to my moms to pick up some things and when I got home Jeremy, my husband, said Olivia hurt her leg!  I looked at my poor baby and she is limping on her back leg. He said he had picked her up and she saw something and jumped out of his hands. He is 6'3. I am so upset! She is not putting any pressure on it but when I touch it she doesnt act like it bothers her at all. It doesnt seem to be swollen either. He said she diidnt cry at all when she fell. I plan on taking her first thing tomorrow to the vet, unless she gets worse tonight. Has this ever happened to anyone? She acts like she is ok, except she isnt putting any pressure on it!  My sweet baby, I feel so bad for her. She's laying in my lap right now. |
aww poor baby.. when my maddy (r.i.p) hurt her leg the vet recommended a warm bath so he muscles would loosen up and to put vicks vapor rub on it and massage it or hot n cold so it would warm up her muscles .. hope she feels better.. they sure scare us don't they.. mine is feeling down and I wish I could make it all better... or transfer the pain to me.. |
I sure hope your baby feels better soon! |
oh you must be heartsick... i just hate when they are hurt.. i will be thinking of you both.. please let us know what the vet says tomorrow |
Emma has hurt her leg before by running and I think it popped out of place or pulled a bit. She wouldnt put pressure on it for about a half hour, but didn't cry when I pushed on it, so we waited it out. I ended up getting some special treats to coax her to walk towards me and eventually she was putting pressure on it again. Maybe you could try that to see what happens. It is probably just sore, like if we fell and got hurt :( I'll be thinking of you guys! |
Oh no , I hope Olivia is okay. Please let us know what the vet has to say. Sending hugs to Olivia!! |
Mi Fell off the Bed:eek: .. WE have one of them high bed you pretty much have to jump into to get in... Well she screamed when she hit the floor and screamed after i picked her up:( .. But when i rubed it she didn't make a sound.. She limped on it for about 2 hours:( .. And wanted us to love on her alot But i did that anyway along with cring i was so upset:( .. But after that she was ready to play but every little while she would start to limp on it agina and come lay by you like she was tellin me yeah momma it hurt but im ok... and id love on her some more then she would go play an she would run on it... So.. But if it looked like it had bother her straigh to the ER i would have taken her... But the next day and so on she has never limped and have been to the vet sence then they rubed all over her body feeling her bones and what not and she was perfectly fine... But i am much more careful about how she plays on my bed now |
My daughter went to hand Chewy to be when he was a puppy and he pole-vaulted right over my shoulder and on to the floor! I was standing at the time! i was so horrified, and I was sure he was going to just die! But he got up and shook it off...He was fine. I was tramatized for life! |
awww poor baby, I hope this morning is better. Guinness is a climber, he freaks me out, he wants to perch on my shoulder and I have to keep pulling him back down. He seems to be fearless! |
So sorry your baby got hurt! The same thing happened to Scooter about 4 weeks ago, my husband (6') was holding him and Scooter started wiggling and he dropped him. Scooter screamed bloody murder - nearly scared me to death. Luckily, he wasn't hurt (if you ask me it was a miracle). It just scared him really badly! I hope your baby gets a clean bill of health from the Vet. |
AWWW So sorry Hope Olivia gets good news today!!! :) |
Oh, no! I hope it's just bruised or a sprain. I'll be looking for good news later! |
Poor Olivia....praying that the vet has good news. They sure can scare you. I was so nervous and scared when Ziggy fell and hit his head when he was a baby. |
