Hi Everyone...I'm new! Hi folks: I just joined the Yorkie forum because I'm planning on getting two yorkies later this Spring/Summer and I wanted to have more information about them...thanks to Val, I was directed here. I just lost my 13-year-old Lhasa Apso in June and can't bear to get another of the same breed for fear that I'd always be comparing them...so I've been told a yorkie would be perfect for me. Looking forward to getting to know some of you on here over the coming weeks/months/maybe years! Terri |
Terri, Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. This is a great place to find out information and see lots of baby pictures. Welcome to YT and hope you find your babies soon. |
welcome flamingokid! :wavey: I'm so sorry for your loss. I love Lhasa's. My Reggie is a Shih Tzu, which is a distant cousin. Welcome to YT. There's so much to find on this site. Do you already know where you're getting your babies from? |
Welcome to YT! Sorry to hear about your loss.. A Yorkie is a great choice as they are so loyal, loving, playful and cute! Keep us posted! |
First of all...So Sorry for your loss, it is NEVER easy to lose our LOVES :( :welcome4: to YT Terri   You are going to LOVE it here:exclaim:  :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
where I will get my yorkies? No...I have no idea where I will get them...we have a couple of CKC breeders here in Nova Scotia and one that I spoke with seemed good but I want to make a good decision...of course, money is always a factor but I'm willing to pay what I have to to ensure I'm dealing with a reputable breeder. I'd like one on the larger side, closer to 7 pounds than 3 or 4, only because I'm afraid I'll end up stepping on them at some point, no matter how careful I am. Anyhow...any suggested breeders in Eastern Canada? thanks! Terri |
Hi Diane: I replied in the thread...it'll take a while to get used to this ;-) Thanks, Terri |
welcome and sorry for your loss. |
Hi Terri, so nice to meet you and welcome to YT. I'm a newbie here myself. I look forward to getting to know you and hope you find that perfect yorkie for yourself. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your furbaby, my heart goes out to you. |
Hello flamingokid, and welcome to yorkie talk. If you're looking to get your first yorkie (or two), you've come to the right place for helpful information and nice people! My hubby and I have 3 yorkies and love 'em like crazy. I am sorry about the loss of your Lhasa Apso. We too just lost our beloved mixed breed in November after having him as part of our family for 14 years so I understand and feel your pain. Good luck in your Yorkie search and be sure to post pictures when you get them. |
Welcome to YT...you made a great choice coming here..you wont regret getting a yorkie in the future!! Dawn |
Welcome to YT, Terri! Sorry you lost your Lhasa ... I know how heartbreaking it is. I'm happy you aren't waiting as long as I did ... it was almost 7 yrs. before I would even allow myself to look! Our forum is very informative ... you can learn a lot here and everyone is helpful. ;) |
:welcome4: to YT! Sorry about your loss. Getting a yorkie is a great choice, there so loveable! |
Welcome to YT!! So glad to have you here.. YT is a great place to learn and share love for the yorkie Breed. there are alot of wonderful people here! good luck finding your babies! :) |
Arf-Arf Flamingokid, Sorry to hear about losing your pal. I'm a 5 pound Yorkie and this is my first time on YorkieTalk. There's a lot of Yorkie Rescue Groups you may think of when considering getting your Yorkie. Of course I'm prejudiced but I give a 4-Paws-Up for Yorkies! :) Yorkies Rock! Schmitty |
