Teddy gets anxious sometimes. He will not be as anxious if he can't look out the window |
You are right guys all yorkies are so different. I tried to figure out why Maxi gets anxious in the car. One time he got all worked up that he also got an upset stomach he usually does not do that. It was breaking my heart seeing him all stressed out but I want him to enjoy the same things I do. Thats why whenever I go to the beach he is always with me. He got used to that really quick and enjoy the beach very much, but going in the car all of a sudden was a tantrum. Now I am so glad he is over it because he sits right next to me and looks around without crying or panting :) I am so releaved, you guys have no idea! I took three drives around for 15-20 min and went back home and he was an angel! I was so proud of him. Console carseat defenately worked for me. I wish I knew it all along. |
I put mine in a travel crate- and they just go to sleep! sometimes they look like they are mad at me- would rather be home playing! LOL |
Kassie always loved the car up until we hit a moose. Other than the moose and our grand cherokee nobody was hurt. She is still nervous but getting a bit better . We had to really try to not baby her and reniforce her fears after. |
Pixie has been used to traveling in the car from a very early age lucky for us, her breeder travels alot to shows and takes the whole yorkie 'family with her! do you put him in a crate in the car? sometimes if they are more enclosed they will feel safer. |
