Too many kisses I know I should be so lucky to get so many kisses from my babies but they don't stop. All they want to do is lick us to death and sometimes all I want to do is hold them and pet them without their tongue going at me. Anyone else have this problem and how do you get them to settle down. I don't mind a little bit but constantly is a bit much. My hubby doesn't even hold them much because he can't stand the licking. Partially because he has caught Bear eating his poop. Gross!!!! |
no i think they grow out of that, don't they? enjoy it while it lasts. skippy will kiss our boys like that but not us. |

My babies always lick me to death. One is 4 and the other is 1 1/2. I just let them, because I would be sad if they didn't want to give me kisses anymore. My husband does not like it much though. He will only let them give a couple of kisses before he stops them. |
Use wipes to clean their bottoms and dental wipes to clean their teeth. Yorkies kiss. If you don't like it and really want it to stop, they will probably pick up on that and grow out of it. I love Shelby kisses. love, love, love them. |

My Jewels is like that and she will keep it up 10 or 15 minutes straight if I dont stop her |
When we got Shelby my oldest son complained about the kissing. I told him he would just have to get used to it, it's what she does :D Now when he comes for a visit, he walks in and drops to the floor and just lets her go crazy on his face. My younger son does the same thing. You should have seen her the day they both arrived at the same time! She didn't know what to do, so many faces and so little time. |

OMG.....I know what you mean. My Mia is such a kisser she has been nick named "The Make out Queen" and "Floozie" (spelling ?). Murphy on the other hand is not a huge kisser except when it is in the Morning or night time. :p |

Jambo is a fastidious licker as well. He does not eat his poop and brushes his mouth daily. I try to let him kiss me all he wants rather than fighting it because he wants to do it even more. I always hope he will eventually have enough but sometimes he goes overboard. He loves to nibble on my ear and sometimes nips the nose. Lately he has been going for inside my nose so I have to draw the line. He even tries to lick my eyes. |
Rockie licks and Kisses all the time. He is a little "flirt" furbaby:p |
My little boy is severely allergic to the salava of dogs!!!! He gets hives to the point that it almost blisters his skin. It is very painful and very scary for him. When we first got Buddy we had to train him not to lick. It was alot easier than I thought. So Buddy never licks anyone. He will lick your fingers if you have something yummy on them :p but he never licks on the face. But he loves to snuggle up around your face which is so sweet. |

acording to the dog whisperer, exssesive licking is an obsessive behavior. We love a kiss here and there but when it gets gross we tell Chewy ok STOP. he gets the hint, stays on our lap, and we are all in love! :D |
Cujo loves giving sugars. My mom won't let him kiss her on the mouth, so she taught him to give "sugar boogers." If you tell him to give you a sugar booger, he'll kiss you on the nose. It's so cute. I let him kiss me on the mouth. It just means so much to him. (I do at least purse my lips together for it, though.) |
Lucy was a kiss fanatic up until about the last month :( Now when she kisses I go crazy because I love it so much! |
Bailey only gives kisses when she has to go potty! She wakes me at 3 A.M. to go peepers. |
Don't get me wrong...I do love the kisses but when you have two of them trying to kiss your face constantly it's a bit much. I agree with the Caesar Milan, it is a bit obsessive. I will work at trying to get them to settle after a few minutes. Mindy isn't so bad but Bear is definitely obsessed with me. He's not liking me trying to stop the kisses in my face. I'll let him lie real close to my face but the kisses must end fairly quickly. lol He's definitely a loverboy. I love him to bits, he is sooooooo sweet. |
yep, Gino does this too, he wont stop! It gets bad when it goes up your nose and in your mouth. After about a minute I try to get him to stop. Dont get me wrong I love it, but when he tries to practically climb IN MY FACE it gets bad! LOL |
Oh boy, I hear ya :D My babies lick (or, KISS rather :p) my husband and I to death, but we actually don't mind it at all - EXCEPT for when we are in bed trying to go to sleep and they just WON'T STOP...THAT can get a little annoying sometimes :rolleyes: lol. Other than when we are trying to sleep though, we don't mind the kisses at all....in fact, we welcome them :D My Stedman will actually give kisses on command :) I tell him, "Steddy, give mommy kiss" - and he does it, right on the end of my nose LOL :p It's so cute! Tatum will give kisses on command sometimes...but only when SHE feels like it, but that's just Tator for ya - she is the queen! :rolleyes: ;) :p |
