The Joy Alfie has brought us. Sorry I hadnt posted for a while before today, but we have had computer trouble which had not been sorted with the holiday time. So a blelated Happy New Year to you all x Alfie (yorkie x westie) is now almost 4 mths old and I cannot express how much hes changed our lives. He is a bundle of fun and sweetness. My children, hubby and myself are constantly kissed and cuddled. He loves to learn new things, and is really smart and intelligent. He is fully housetrained and has been for the last couple of weeks. He jumps at the door when he wants out. He will sit on command and I have learnt him, no snatch when getting a treat from our hand. He is a little ball of joy! Jamie our (Jack x Beagle) is 9 years old and loves Alfie so much. Jamie had been on a slow decline before we got Alfie, he couldnt jump up onto the sofa for a cuddle and hardly ran around. This was due to getting old our vet said. Within a couple of days of Alfie coming into our family, Jamie is running and jumping like a puppy himslef. I shall post some recent photos when I get the computer installed of the drivers for camera. |
Have you tried making some steps for Jamie to get up on the couch again for those cuddles? They're very easy to make. My hubby made ours from scrap lumber he had in the garage and we bought some indoor/outdoor carpeting and stapled the carpet entirely over the stairs. They look very nice and even match our couches. |
Hi Felina, We did think about getting Jamie an aid of some sort to allow him to jump on the sofa again but since Alfie has joined the family Jamie is rejuvinated. He is running and jumping around just like a puppy himself. Even our vet is gobsmacked how he has a new lease of life with Alfies arrival. Even people make comments about this when we are for our walkies. |
Welcome! I just adore the name! It reminds me of the movie with hottie Jude Law  |
Chewy has changed our family for the better as well... Our children are older, and even though they are still living home every one said it was empty nest syndrom!!!! But he is our baby and we all love him to death! he is funny and smart and loving. Now we have added Sadie to our family too and we are very excited and happy to have our fur kids brighten our lives!:D |
