I think I finally wore her out!!! Chloe has been outrageously needy lately. Ever since she had her spaying done she has to have attention all of the time. For example, I was making lunch today and she would sit in the kitchen behind me and bark until I acknowledged her. After a noisy lunch, I took her for a 40 minute brisk walk and that didn't do it, so then I chased her around the house and played catch for another 30 minutes. She still wasn't happy and ended up racing back and forth like a crazy lunatic for another 10 minutes. Finally....Finally she is taking a nap. I thought it would never end!!!!!! I just don't know what to do when she won't stop barking at me and I don't know what she wants. Anyone else? |
Good luck. Guess you just need to hold her close all the time:D |
Oh wait.....Just Kidding......she's awake...and barking!!!! |
I had Pee-Nut neutered three days ago and I have the same thing happening...its constant attention seeking, glad I'm not the only one :animal36 |
I find that lots of activity is needed and a great variety as well. My husband and I plan a schedule for the day that involves Remi. He rides in the car when we run errands or he is with us in his carryall at the dentist or the store. Then, when the weather permits, he walks two miles. After a short rest, he plays fetch for 20 minutes. We find if we "plan" for an active day he is tired when we are watching TV or reading at night. He sleeps contentedly on the hassock. We are retired so that we are able to manage to "keep us" with our Yorkie. We have had many dogs over the years, but Remi is certainly different when it comes to wanting new and different things to do! We have him join in with all our daily activities, as much as possible! |
Solution Perhaps the puppy is wanting a little brother or sister?? They will play & chase each other and come to you when they need petting or to nap on your lap :D . Problem solved. |

I have already teased to my boyfriend that we need another dog. He wasn't too happy about the idea. |
Power of a Tiny Dog My hubby continuously said no as well. One day I just came home with Jazzie, she was in the back yard chasing Zander.... my hubby arrived from work and I told him, go see whats in the backyard. He went outside and said, what did you do??!! He's loved her ever since :) . Not sure it would work for everybody, but I'm sure glad it did for me!! Zander came to life when Jazzie arrived, she energized our home with so much fun, laughter and love. Amazing the power of a tiny puppy :D . :aimeeyork |
What's that saying about it being better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission? |
