HELP!!! worried!!! i am worried, gizmo has been eating leaves and trying to throw them back up for about 2 weeks, we took him for his shots last week and talked to the vet about it and she said it was normal. so i didnt think anything of it. well today he has been searching more for paper and stuff. I was in the living room earlier and he happen to find a piece of paper so i got it out of his mouth and told him no, like i normally do, well he went back for it 4 or 5 times, and he has been licking me and everything in sight today more than normal. Well about an hour ago he was running around in the computer room where i was sitting and threw up, well it was like his food wasnt even digested. He did this twice in a matter of 5 minutes. And he now is still licking and trying to find paper on the floor. I am not sure what is wrong. He has been eating and drinking normal from what i can tell. but i am worried something is up i need some help |
just like human babies will put all things in their mouths, so will these little babies...we just don't let them even though they want too. Eating leave is not healthy that I know of...shrug... I put Furgie in a create if I get too busy to pay attention to what she is doing. |
My dogs do this lots. especially in a morning if they haven't eaten yet. Eating grass etc is fairly normal, just be sure they can't get to anything poisonous in the garden. One of mine is a real little scamp for taking things in the house to chew if he can.....paper, keys, last thing was my husband's brand new mobile phone :( |
My male Yorkie loves to chew leaves and twigs....Yes, this is normal. With Rocky I just always have to have eyes in the back of my head. I always try and have dental chewy sticks around, and I find he does it more when he has not had one in a few days. My two are now adults and only my male still loves to chew leaves and twigs. |
well he eats them when he is outside, it isnt like i just let him roam the house becus i know they are like little kids, i have also notice that after he takes a drink of water he is cough or trying to clear his throat, like he drank it to fast or something. my boyfriend said that was the problem, was he was eating and drinking his food too fast but he just started coughing and throwing up so i am wondering if it isnt something else |

I swear GiGi ate the wrapping paper on one of her Christmas gifts (a treat)...I looked for it every were even checked her poop....but I guess she digested it. Looking back it sounds funny but I was really worried about the dies in the Christmas designs...I am just glad she is ok and was not affected by it. So they are pretty resilient. Tina:eek: |
