Has this happened to anyone else? I just wanted to know if anyone else has trouble with private time with your husband and your Yorkie babies? Everytime me and my husband wanted to have a little private time together he starts barking and growling (not in a mean way just like hey, pay attention to me). It is like he knows when we want to be alone. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problem or if it is just Otis's jealous ways! |
I'm sorry, but LOL! Gizmo doesn't get "jealous", but he is definitely too curious! LMAO!! When we put him out of the room, he whines at the door. When you find a solution, let me know! ;) |
I don't think you are alone, it seems as though many people here have very curious yorkies!:p Hubby and I usually close the door and leave Kiwi with her own special treat, one she can't resist. That's usually enough to distract her for awhile. |
Yeah, we try closing the door too, but he makes so much noise we usually just give it up and try later. Even treats aren't enough to keep him busy for a few minutes. I don't know what the solution would be to this problem! Any ideas would be helpful.....He wants my attention on him 24/7...... |
you are not "ALONE" Koda just starts with the jumping & wanting to climb up!! Yorkies are way tooooo SMART:p |
join the club! Cody and gracie used to whine and scratch the door. But it has gotten better since we got Bella they are locked up in the kitchen at night now instead of sleaping with us. It's amazing how big the bed is now! We were sleeping with two dogs and three cats, ended up getting a bigger bed too! We left Cody in the room ONE time, all was fine until my hubby had a COLD nose where it didn't belong:eek: |

LOL!!!!! I crate him and put a blanket over it, so he doesn't witness the miracle ;) He pretty much has gotten use to it.... LOL!!!!!!! |
our furbabys whine and scratch at the door ,it makes it so hard to get in the mood listening to them at the door crying ,scratching at the door. |
My Sunshine (RIP) jumped up on the bed at that "moment" and started to hump my fiance.. Lets just say that moment was gone and forgotten and I couldnt stop laughing. However he didnt find it so funny lol |
Mogli was the best. He knew I was gettin' some before I would! He'd actually get off the bed and sleep on the floor or under the night stand. When the commotion was over he'd come back in bed. |

And to everyone else, LOL!:D Our yorkies want to be involved in everything, don't they! |
we never allow bella on the bed. she knows she can only get on the couch if her blanket is there. i guess we headed this problem off at the path |
hilarious :lol tears That is just tooooo funny. My husband and I have to put them out and shut the door as well. Quote:

Lord have mercy....now we are planning the "love time" around the yorkies................Hilariousssssssssssssssssss Sometimes do you wonder who owns whom????????????:yelrotflm |
Okay, I think I topped the scale of scheduling time. My husband and I have to pretend we are going out. We put the kids in their crate upstairs and then open and close the garage door. We have to be really quiet like we are not home. What we do for our Yorkies..... :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm |

I have this problem I am new to owning yorkies so I as well was not sure if this is common. When my husband and I try to cuddle lily gets between us and barks when we get close she hates it and she just looks and me and does not understand why I am hugging him and not her. |
 WELL.............:p :D I have to put my two ummm.... out of the room and close the door because if I don't, curious little Yorkie eyes will stand there and stare (not so much Tatum, but Stedman will  Uh huh - that's a MAN for ya, lol!!!). But then if we close the door, Stedman starts freaking out barking and pawing at the door - so we kinda don't win either way lol  Geez, these little rascals are such BRATS sometimes!!!  :p :D |
We put Gypsy in her room (also my office) and shut the door. If she knows we do not leave she will whine and scratch at the door. Whenever she sees us even kissing she comes up to get between us. We think it's cute so we will smack lips loudly so she will come to us at night. She sleeps with us and has a ramp to get on the bed so just putting her on the floor is not an option. |
Too funny...I don't have any advice but I'm happy to know that it's not just my nosey Yorkies :p |

No... Meka knows daddy is mine...lol :p So she doesnt get jealous. But, I do have to move her bed in the hallway & close the door, other wise she just kinda stares & lets out a small wimper (like she doesnt want to be left out :D) |

lol... this is hilarious... i've never had a problem with pebbles or my boyfriends yorkie doing this... but my beagle is horrible! she hates doors being closed so shell wine at the door. and if we let her in the room she will jump up on the bed and either stare at us or start to lick our faces. i usually give the kids their kongs or some kind of a chew bone and it keeps them busy for a while. :D |
I sooo was going to ask the very same question just the other day! Tucker normally needs stairs to get up on the bed. But, if we take the stairs away to have some "private time", with quite a bit of struggling, Tucker can pull himself up on the bed. Then he starts pawing at the blankets and panting and there have been some cold nose incidents of our own. It's weird that he reacts so strongly being that he is fixed and everything. |
Madeleine just knows when something is going to happen...she just goes to the edge of the bed and quietly naps until it's over. Then she wants to play! |
