Worried about Bella help please We are getting very worried about Bella she isn't wanting to drink water she will drink about 7 or 8 laps and then she is done and she only does this once or twice a day that just doesn't seem like enough and it is scaring us she is eating her canned food okay and was acting fine until this morning but when my daughter woke up at 6:20am instead of Bella jumping up and barking like she always does she just laid there and looked at her she did raise her head and set up and she even chewed on her toy a bit but then she just laid right back down we checked her gums and they are nice and pink i am calling the vet when they open in a hour of course but i thought maybe someone on here might know something i could do right away |
I dont have much advice, but your idea of taking her to the vet sounds great...........Good Luck and I hope your baby is back to her old self:thumbup: |

I hope Bella is feeling a litte better until you're able to get her to the vet. :yorkiesar |
I am getting really scared now she is getting worse she will hardly lift her head now i don't know what to do the vet still isn't in we gave her nutri-cal hoping that would do something but i really don't think it is her sugar the little girl eats all the time about every 20 minutes she is eating and her little ears are really warm she is under a heat light so i know she isn't cold or anything calling vet again to see if someone answers this time wish me luck i will post again when i know something. I hope Bella is feeling better! I, personally, would call the vet too. Meanwhile, any time that Toto isn't feeling up to par, I boil chicken and give her the broth ... she will lap that up when she won't eat/drink anything else. Another favorite is Gatorade ... the Frosty blue. Good luck and please keep us updated. |
Just wanted to add ... in an emergency, I have given her canned chicken broth. They can dehydrate so very quickly!! Good luck. |

Ok I went and started the trailblazer got everything ready put her in her carrier and then called the vert and told them what was going on and that i was on my way (wasn't going to take no for a answer) well then i went to pick her up and go and she just started yapping like crazy i thought there was something wrong so i opened the carrier door to look and she darted out and took off running after the other dogs and playing well needless to say i picked her little butt up put her back in the carrier and took off to the vets even though she started acting normal i was still taking her in to be checked well i got there they took her temp weighed her (1 1/2 lbs) oh and i took Max with me to (i take him everywhere) and they looked him over to :) everything was normal then came the questions omg so many questions anyways she is on albone for 14 days and kaopectate for the next 3-4 days and if her stool is still lose after 3 days they gave me a thing to get a sample yucky but oh well i have to do what i have to do to keep her healthy oh and she is supposed to take a mil of pedialyte unflavored every hour during the day and evening until she is 2 pounds but all is well both puppies are doing great!!!! Thank you all for your support i can't believe how scary that little speel was. |
Also i wanted to add that prayer truely works because i believe it was the prayers that got her up and moving and acting normal before i even took her to the vet thank you everyone!!!!! |
Great to hear she is doing fine. They can really give you a scary time of fear for the health. Its good you decided to go ahead and take her in even after her little energy influx. :littleang |
wow that was quick..........Prayers do work for sure..............I am so happy to hear she is doing better there is nothing like a little yorkie full of energy:D :D Give her kisses from Tinkerbell and I;) |
