Every summer that we've here we have problems with june bugs. I am a chicken when it come to bugs. I guess it's true about that saying,, if you hang around someone long enough you end up just like that person. Last night Gus was sitting on the bathroom floor,,, (he follows me everywhere :D) When one of those darn june bugs buzed near his ear,,, he got up and tried to take off running but he wanst going anywhere. I had just waxed the floors and where extra slippery. I was laughing so hard, it was a good thing I was already in the bathroom!!! Before long I am going to have to get myself some Depends. This little guy keeps me laughing on a daily bases!!!

You might consider one of those outside bug zapper lights. I use one of those, and here comes the frogs.. That is my number one phobia :eek: Maggie considers them her very own personal buddies. :thumbdown

I would freak if there were frogs in the house. I do have a zapper, but the kids are coming in and out of the house and let the darn bugs in.

Hmm...My little hunter loves bugs. Every summer we have a problem with silverfish. Yuck! But Syd loves to chase them and try to kill them. I jumped off the couch last night to get one myself that went streaking across the living room floor...and she was right next to may saying.."Let me at it Mom! I'll get it for you...just let me at it!" :)

You would hate my house. I have those little green Peeper frogs all over my house. Everytime I go in the bathroom there are 3 or 4 of them on the window. I guess that makes them Peeper Toms.

I hate, hate, hate, hate june bugs. They are the dumbest bugs ever. They run straight into you, and then fly into your hair. And they get stuck and they won't come out. Ugh, they are so bad!!!

We have the little gecko's. they hang on the screens. The cats and dogs love them. So do the ants. I find them in little piles of ants daily on the patio after being de-tailed.

I hate all bugs ewwwwwwwwwww!!!!! frogs and lizards are okay, in fact if my husband gives in my son wants a snake. Im okay with that but the hubby isint lol. Okay my daughters arent to crazy about it either :rolleyes: .lol

I'm with you. I have very long curly hair and have had a june bug get stuck in there. I also hate moths!!! had one stuck in my hair and was flapping right next to me ear trying to get out. My husband thinks it funny how I freak out when it comes to bugs. I don't find it funny one bit

I have a good summer time game for him to play. When we were kids (back when there was only 3 chanels on TV). My brother and I would conduct a frog count. We would catch every frog we could find and put it in the back of my dad's truck. When it was time to come in we would count them as we let them go. We got 23 frogs one night.

I lived in Rialto CA for yrs and don't remember June bugs but sure hated the Black Widow spider we have and had more then my share to. :( Moved to WA 6 yrs ago and love it here never regrated moving.

We have lived here 9 years now. And every year we have had problems with june bugs. We also have a big problem with Black Widows too. Our house was a Hud home so it was empty for sometime before we moved in and there was widows hidden everywhere. I had Terminix come and spray everywhere before we even moved in. I still have service. They come out every other month.

Honey Bees
 
We just had the attack of the killer bees at our house. It was awful. They built their honeycomg inside a stucco column on the house and there were thousands of them. My husband sprayed them with store bought wasp spray and thought her got rid of them but they came back. We finally called a professional bee exterminator to get rid of them which he did for $175 but he says if we do not have our wall opened up and remove all of the honeycomb that they will smell the honey and come back!!! They want $600 to do that. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am so scared of bees!!! There was a big hive in my neighbors tree. The tree is located between our houses. I called the city and the were going to come the next day, but that morning they were all gone. They just up and left on their own. Boy I was sure happy

I just went out to get Maggie back in from a potty break......she had both cheeks full of June bugs :eek: :eek: :eek: .....She ran when she saw me coming....chomping all the way.......I finally caught her and dug out 3 june bug parts......yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.....she stalks and hops on them.....I shriek and scream....but she is bug bound and determined.......

I groom and brush her and she is out rolling in poop, dead moles, etc......and eating bugs.....what have I done wrong!!! :rolleyes:




Got to love a "bow wearing bug eater".......

Oh no I would freak if Gus ate them. I know he ate a crecket once and it totally grossed me out.

I HATE june bugs with a passion...I canot even stand being outside at night with lights on...I refuse to take the girls out at night because I don't like the noise they make buzzing around and am constantly afraid they are going to land on me...my dad has to take them out because I just can't...of course the girls LOVE to chase them and try to eat them...one time Sailor got one and brought it back in the house, I could not even try and get it out of her month, I just let her eat it!!! My parents constantly laugh at me about it, but I can't explain it...they just gross me out totally!!!

You and me both!!! When I was little I remember my uncles thought it would be funny to tie a string around the bug and chase my mom with it while she was holding me. I don't know who was crying more,, me or her.
