Found wellness @ feed store I found a feed store today that carries the dog food- Wellness, if anyone has any info pros/cons please post them I am trying to find a good food to change from proplan. He also had the bullystix, i think they were merrick & have a redbarn tag? B/f I forget reagan got her hide-a-squirrel in today & she absolutely loves it!! thank everyone for recommending it! |
I am not sure but I am sure someone can help you out! |
I am currently home coooking for my two but I do have Wellness on hand for days I do not have any food prepared or we are traveling. It is a good food for a commercial dog food and I believe it is rated with 5 stars. My two like it as well! :) |
thank you both, I was just wondering b/cuz the salesman said it was the only dog food approved by the fda? well that sounds good & then you think ok aren't they the ones that let us have the poisonous crap from china?? I really just wanted to know in the adult range (have poodle 2 yrs old) the best food & get their puppy food for lil' bit (her new nickname) :) |
Wellness is fine if that's what you can get - it's much better than Proplan. Also, Merrick sticks wouldn't have a Redbarn tag, they would have a Merrick tag.. It's possible he was using the Merrick box and had Redbarn sticks. My Merrick sticks come in a nice display box and maybe he re-used it. |
No help here as I'm feeding "Chicken soup" brand, but was also thinking about "wellness" but decided with the chicken soup. |
Both my babies LOVE their wellness diet. I did a lot of research on foods, Tino has food allergies, and as you mentioned wellness is approved by the FDA and has never been involved in any food recalls or had any of its ingredients called into question. Also, it has never given Tino an adverse reaction. They love both the kibble and wet varieties and treats! My only complaint is that if you feed them the whitefish variety...it has a very STRONG fishy odor!!!! But with so many varieties to try, you are sure to find one that your babies will love. p.s. My Lola is a picky eater, and at 2.9 pounds we have to watch her to make sure she is eating properly...but she enjoys the wellness, especially when she gives me those "puppydog" eyes and I can't help but hand feed that papmered little princess ;) She is going on 22 months and it is the only food she has ever eaten. Good luck~ |
