Here's a good reason! And things like this make it so much worse: Today I left for an hour to go to the grocery store. I asked my sister 80 times if she wanted me to crate them while I was gone so she wouldn't have to watch them...she kept saying "no no I'll take care of them, don't worry." So I hurried in the store, kept thinking about them, and right as I'm checking out I get a phone call. All I hear is "Nicki I'm really sorry but..." and I start freaking out. I literally told the girl ringing up my stuff that it was an emergency and she started freaking out too...so I got out to my car so I could hear my sister, and she tells me three things. #1: She left the gate open and all of the dogs escaped from the yard when she let them out to pee. #2: She chased them down and got them all back. And #3: They all peed on the carpet in my room. I was FURIOUS!! I hung up the phone on her and drove home like a mad woman...and I left all my groceries in the car and ran in the house. I checked every single one of them to make sure they were ok, and then I screamed at my sister for about 10 minutes, got the groceries, cleaned my floor, then laid in my bed with all 6 of them crying. THANK GOD they all came back...they ALL could have been gone FOREVER! And they NEVER EVER pee in my floor...so I knew she hadn't been taking care of them...uggh!!! I was just so happy they were all there with me... So anyways, that just gives me another reason to go nuts...   I mean, I know people do this same kind of thing with their children, but these ARE my children!! I'm so glad a lot of you feel the same way about your yorkies...sometimes I feel so crazy...but then something like this happens and it puts everything into perspective!! Like somebody else said on this thread, I guess this just comes with being a yorkie mommy...:p |
yah im the SAME way!! ..and actually Tim(Avie's daddy):) is also!!(which is good);) i could go ON and ON about everything that worries me, when it comes to our baby girl..but we dont have all night, now do we!?:p (plus im sure, all of us WORRY about the same things anyway;)) we are all CRAZY..for our babies!!:p ;) |
Nope you are not paranoid at all, I worry too, whenever I am not with Tinkerbell or Chiquito. I think is normal:D |
I think it is only normal to worry about the things we care for and love. I am like this with my kids so I knew I would be like this with Jeter. I have one son who has a Primary Immune defect and was sick as a baby, we almost lost him 3 different times before they were able to find out what was wrong with him, by then he was 9months old and had spent more time in the hospital then he had at home. He's 13 now and looking at him he looks great, you would never guess he has a life threatening illness! I also had 2 of my boy's born 3 months early at 27 weeks and that was super scarry too! To this day I worry about my kids health and safety non stop! What parent doesn't? So I can see were we worry about our dear loved pets as well, you care a great deal for them so it's only natural.:) |
i think we are this way with our yorkies because they are so needy and people that dont own one dont know that they are like babys. their needs make us love them more so we want to protect them just as much as a new mother would protect their baby. |
I am such a hypercondriate(i think that is how you spell it) when it comes to my baby. Every sneeze, cough and weird behavior I am saying is he okay or whats wrong with him, should I take him to the vet. My husband said if I keep doing this we are not going to be able to have kids. |
