Egg? I heard from a yorkie owner that egg is good for their coats...wanted to make sure if this is true... Belle doesnt really eat people food-- but i was just curious |
About once or twice a month i will treat Rusty for some egg for breakfast. i usually take out most of the yolk and scramble it, then mix it in with some kibble. He loooooves it:aimeeyork But i'm not sure about it being good for their coats? |
My dad always said that raw egg over their food once a week is good for their coats. I would like to know if it is really good for them too. Thanks for asking this question. |
raw eggs is not good for them, but, I used to take an egg and scramble it for them, and then split it 4 ways, and did the same thing for the big dogs, it really made their hair shine..but, I have read to stay away from raw eggs.. |
Thanks for posting this. I too have been wondering if feeding egg really did help with the coat. |
Ellie gets cooked egg (never raw for us). I"m not sure it's good for their coats but fish oil and vitamin e is. |
thank you for the responses!!! i'm glad to know i'm not the only one who was wondering about this i know my neighbor's yorkie (my neighbor was the one who told me about this) his coat is gorgeous, they keep him short but he has really nice coloring and a nice soft and silky coat |
I used to scramble an egg a week and give that to Lulu as a source of extra protein and a bit of a treat. It didn't do anything to her and she loved it. I had asked the vet because I had read about it and he said it was fine as long as it's not every day. |
