Whenever i bring Bernie back from the groomer, he has a top knot in his hair. That's a big nono to my bf. So as soon as we get home, my bf takes it out. :) |
I love the bows but Max hates them. As soon as he returns from the groomers it is his job (he thinks) to destroy the bow. He usually wins. :p |
I think boys with bows look cute! My husband is not a big fan. |
1 Attachment(s) i either put mine with a clip or tie it up and i think he luks so cute with it |
2 Attachment(s) Real men (yorkie men that is) wear bows because they are confident and KNOW that the girls love them. Just ask Sunnie and Beamer |
I bought boy bows for Cosmo and when I put one in my husband made fun of him and called him a "girly man" then to top it off Cosmo would not keep it in to save his life.:thumbdown I gave up, now I keep his brow hairs cut and let the rest grow longer. My grromer has it down pat. Once in a while I will put a shirt or sweatshirt on him but he loves to be au'natural! he he such a little man! I am hoping new puppy, temporily named Bentlie will keep bows in! We shall see! |
1 Attachment(s) I want to put Koda in a bow so badly, but I'm afraid people will laugh or think he's a girl! But I plan on dressing him up in bows anyway. :p I do have a cute little sunglass french clip I put on him. |
I LOVE Sunny and Beamer and their bows. How cute! Now that am thinking I have not seen a yorkie I haven't loved. I am happy boys are getting equal treatment :D They need to be designer too! We bought boys becuase we knew we were getting them nuetered and they are cheaper than girls, however the market sure leaves the little guys out :thumbdown I was happy to find so many people on this site that offer boy clothes, bows, beds, etc. Hooray for YT and owners of the little men! |
ok, this may be a really silly newbie question but........ I took Preston to the groomer, and had her put a bow in his hair to keep it out of his eyes. I had gone to a local designer pet place specifically to find a bow that looked "boyish" as my daughter made a big deal out of putting bows in a boys hair. Anyway, Preston's hair is still somewhat shorter on his head, and the bow wouldn't stay in, she did get it in, but it kept falling sideways and we finally just took it out. I have seen pics of in the photo gallery of others with short hair and bows. How do you get them to stay in? There is a pic of preston in the photo gallery for reference of how long his hair is. I have not gotten any ready to attach in a post. Oh also, when I bought the bow, I also got a tiny metal clawed "clip" that is supposed to be for dogs hair, but my groomer highly discouraged using it, and said she had never even seen one. Anyone else use those? It seems I may have seen a pic that appeared to be the same thing. |
I put bows in Seth's hair and it lasts........................................ 4.3 seconds:D :D :D :D I love him in bows and Jack (husband) does not mind as long as it is manly!!! |
try ising tiny clear bands for the hair, then using bows with barrette backs and slip it in the hair right under the elastic |
I will have to try that. I will go tomorrow to see if I can find some really small clear bands. Hopefully I can then attach the bow to a barrette until his top not gets long enough. |
I intend to put plain black bands in my yorkie's hair first then tie a little ribbon around it and work up to the big bows that are boy colors...I think to each there own but agree with with what was said about if they have a top knot they should have a bow...boy or girl it is perfect!!:aimeeyork:):aimeeyork |
Bows on Boys Just don't use a pink bow. If he's still young, and you put a pink bow on him, he'll be really mad at you when he becomes an adult and sees those pictures of himself with a pink bow. Seriously, I have two grandsons who act like anything pink will harm them. They won't even use a pink crayon. I think my dumb son in law put the macho fear into them. Tucker's Mom |
When l get the chance, l put blue, green, black anything but pink on Rockie. |
