Pixie Well Pixie is now inrolled in puppy training classes at our local pet smart I am super excited she had her first class last saturday and she did great. she is learning fast. I notice this week after trying to baby gate her in the kitchen that I also have a monkey on my hands I came home and she was no where to be found she was not in the kitchen so i started to call her name and she appered from the up stairs so this is what i want to know what do i do with a monkey for a dog how do i keep her from climbing the baby gate. oh by the way we just started watching that dog wisperer guy holy cow hes amazing wonder if he would come train my monkey dog. :aimeeyork |
Rockie was not doing good with the gate either. My daughter went to petco and brought a xpen for him. He is doing really great with it. He whines to get out:p but he is spoiled:rolleyes: :yorkiesar |
You might just have to get a taller gate or tall x-pen. Most Yorkies won't jump the taller gates but there are a few exceptions. I use the 31" gates. |
There was someone on here who also has a monkey for a Yorkie! haha. I think her husband fashioned a little 'eve' that angled out towards the puppies side of the pen. That way, when the puppy got to the top, they couldn't get over it, as they would be upside down. Hope that helps some, I am lucky *knock on wood* that mine have yet to learn this trick! :p |
Wow! She's talented. You might try double baby gates or the Xpen idea the other member suggested. I love the Dog Whisperer too. I'm addicted...did you watch the marathon last week? My sister met Cesar and had her picture taken with him...I was so mad at her and jealous for not calling me! She works at Wal Mart Home Office and he was a surprise guest, so she said she didn't have time to let me know....grrrr! :D |
