Corn on cob anyone??? Does anyone's baby munch on their legs like corn on the cob?? I have sifted through her fur, and found nothing. No bites, no fleas, nothing. Besides she's on advantage flea protection (I'm switching to Frontline in 2 months after my supply is done). She doesn't do it too often, but I see her do it occasionally during the day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
I'd like to know as well.. because Ginger & Cloey do this too.. not all the time.. just once or twice a day or every other day.. it's weird.. I too have sifted through every inch of their hair and have found nothing!!.. |
It could be allergies, to food or to shampoo. Bronx kept scratching his ears, and one day as I was brushing him, I found I had left shampoo in his hair behind his ears. Maybe try rinsing better. Also they do make an anti-itch cream or spray you can get at groc. store or petsmart. What are you feeding them, and what kind of shampoo do you use???? |
I feed her Innova (among the best) and her shampoo is the same as before, Pet Salon Pro. This corn on cob thing just recently started happening. |
it could probably be me not rinsing the shampoo out well enough..i know for a fact it's not what they are eating.. they are on Innova EVO... since long time ago and had no problems until recently... i guess since bathing three at a time.. i'm not getting the shampoo off of them well.. :p |
I bathe mine in the tub, and the shampoo sometimes floats around their legs as I am trying to get everyone out and dry. It might could be those little biting things in the grass. Maybe try the anti itch spray. I got like a deoderant stick looking kind (it was on clearance), they hate the taste of it, so it deter's the biting. It smell's sorta like mens deoderant. |
Mine does that...but, it could be that he goes outside alot and he gets bug bites...that or it could be that he is getting over a bacterial infection that caused lumps all over his body and i think they itched him...anyway, how ironic you just posted this, bux was just doing this!!!! |
I was wondering the same thing! I just bathed Rocky and rinsed him thotoughly, so we will see if he keeps doing it! Gosh, I hope not! |
Good luck! There is nothing that will drive me crazy like a scratching dog. :rollingey :jump28ib: |
Ok I know there's more people out there that can help us out here. C'mon YT'ers pull it together and HELP! |
Bunny does the same thing sometimes. She always has well before I took her outside in any grass. I think she's just a puppy and they do weird things like this! She will just lay there and chew on her back paw. I think she's just too lazy to get up and get a Nylabone! I know it isnt bites or an allergy to something bc like I said she did this from the start. She isnt on topical flea med bc I used the Sentinel. And she doesnt scratch at all just chews her back foot! |
