That's just what I was thinking. Let us know what type of worms it is that is so expensive to treat....I'm curious. Hope he is feeling better soon. |
Im so sorry your baby Bert has worms. Good thing that it was caught and can be treated. Please keep us posted. Good luck. |
its shouldnt cost you much if its a common worm, if youre getting charged more than your vet visit and a few dollars for the medication youre being told right! |
Most worms are cheap to get rid of Unless your baby has something like a tapeworm, something is wrong here. Hookworms and roundworms which are the usual for a dog are very inexpensive to get rid of. Benni had them and I bought pills at the pet store and gave him 2 treatments about 8 months ago and no more worms. Please let us know what type of worms he has. |
Worms. It will be ok. I just got done treating Matise for worms. We had 3 consective doses 3 weeks ago and then 3 more consective doses(they were 3 weeks apart). I am from Indiana and we don't have as many problems there as I know have to be concerned with since we are now living in miami, fl. You know the tropical climates don't have any winter to kill off all the yucky things. It was overall a pretty easy thing to go through and he is so much better now then he was before we went through the de-worming. I wish I still lived where there was a winter time (especially now with hurricane season upon us and it also being soooo HOT here now, but not so much in December when I am at the beach and my family is stuck with snow!) anyway I will be thinking of you and everything will be ok. Kara & Matise :aimeeyork |
Lucy had worms and it cost me $30 to get rid of them. 20 of that was for the test to make sure she had worms and 10 was for the pill. Don't worry it'll be cheap if it is just a common worm like hookworm. |
I just had to buy Tuck some wormer today - just the usual ol' tapeworms that they get once in a while in spite of the flea treatments - just one little Droncit pill - $11.25 was all it cost. Does your baby have something different? Hope all goes well for you. Dana |

This might be a stupid question but how do you know your baby has worms? What are the signs? Sorry you gots worms bert, but you will feel much better soon..from Coco |
welcome to YT! Sorry your little one has worms.. depending on what kind of worms your little furbabe had.. if it's the common roundworms.. it shouldn't be expensive to treat.. there are even some over the counter products that you could use (but i suggest going to your vet).. When I first got oreo he had Roundworms & Tapeworms.. the roundworms were so easy to get rid of... the Tapeworms on the other hand.. were a handful!! but good luck and i'm sorry you little one has worms! I hope he feels better! :aimeeyork |
thank you all thank you all for your support we bought some medicine and he's feeling better now but i am not sure of what kind of worm he has or had. but we have to worm him about every two weeks or so. anyway thank you all for your support and your helpful information i appreciate it very very much. i don't know what i would do if i lost my little baby bert. |
I am confused, did you take Bert to the vet? Didn't they tell you what kind of worms Bert had? I don't understand the dosage "about every 2 weeks or so". Is this what the vet actually said? If so, i would get a different vet. |
Worms I feel sorry for the puppy a untreated or mistreated case of worms can make the puppy quite sick. How old is your puppy? Have you ever had a stool sample checked before.? How do you know what type of worms your puppy has? Did you take him to the vet? There are different types of meds to treat differnt types of worms. If you have not taken him to the vet and had a stool analysis done I would suggest that you do. Treatment for worms is one of the most inexpensive things that can happen in your Yorkies lifetime. |
Sorry to hear that your baby has worms. I hope he recovers soon! |
I feel so sorry my friends cat had worms but I am positive that your yorkie won't turn out the way his cat did I do feel reeally sorry and I do really hope that he gets better soon good luck |
