Best of Luck ;) |
See that's the problem. People tried to help you, and you wouldn't listen. By saying "Who cares?," it shows us that you DON'T care, which obviously means you shouldn't be breeding. If you don't care, then you don't care about bettering the breed, then leave the breeding to people who do. How dare you come on here and call us bitches when all anyone wanted was to help you? Its obvious that you don't want to listen to anything we say, so why should we try being nice about it? you are offended by everything we say because you can't take the truth. |
i can handle the truth i cant handle criticism. All i asked for was ADVICE on my 1st post back 2 months ago.... not for you guys to eat me alive!!!!!! I turned into a bitch & said all i did after you guys said all that you did. You guys ahve massive love for the breed & so do i, If i was such a bad person or wanted to be a puppy mill- LOL i wouldnt be posting, I wouldnt be asking for help or telling you guys things the way i am. I am human & I make mistakes just like ya'll did. So RELAX! It's over! |
I don't think you want to be a puppy mill, and I don't think you're a bad person. I think you need to reasearch and you need to care about the breed if you want to be a breeder. I know that accidents happen, but you just don't seem to care! I know that you have to care at least a little, because you did come on here and ask. But just on the other page you were saying "Who cares?" about all of the possible health problems that the puppies run the risk of having! and you also need to realize that its NOT over. You're not out of the woods! The puppies are still quite young. I think you should still take the parents in to be tested for all of these genetic problems that every dog runs the risk of having. You're coming on here calling everyone bitches and not caring about the betterment of the breed, and you don't expect to be criticized? If you were more accepting and willing to listen then maybe we wouldn't be so harsh with you! |
Amen!! |
First off, Congrats on the new litter of pups and that mom delivered the pups with no complications. I am sorry you feel you are being attacked. People here are very passionate about the breed and their most concern is for the pups. You can't go back and un do what you did. Like you said all you can do is learn from your mistakes. I see you have learned about ties with mating and the care of the dam and puppies. But I am not really sure you learned much about genetic issues yet. To think a collapsed trachea is nothing to be concerned about is completely wrong. I guess a few questions would clear up what we are all thinking... Will the parents be spayed and neuter after this or will you repeat the breeding? Will all the pups from their litter be spayed and neutered? Will the new owners of the pups be aware that their are a few genetic problems that the puppies may develop since the parents have them such as a collapsed trachea? If you breed again what would you do differently? We can all learn from our mistakes if we are willing to do so. So I guess the question is what have you learned from your mistakes? Have you learned that much more research and testing is to be done before even deciding to breed? Have you learned what all genetic problems are common in this breed and what you can do to prevent them? Have you learned that just because the parents seem to be healthy it doesn't mean the puppies will be, rather it depends on their lines and the health of all the dogs in their lines? Everyone here is just trying to help you understand the aspects of breeding. It is not something to be taken lightly. I truly hope you have learned from this experience.:animal-pa |
Maybe you should post your breeding questions and results in the breeder section so it isn't such a hot topic. I think most of us support breeding that involves dogs known to be healthy that look like Yorkies are supposed to look. Not sure why that is offensive. Glad your puppies appear to be fine. |

I have been sitting on my hands, trying not to post again, but, here goes. I have read both threads from beginning to end. I'm sorry, but you did get advice. What you did not get was what you wanted to hear. Good advice sometimes suggests you take a path other than the one you would like. The simple fact that you think "you've shown us" because your girl gave birth, shows that you are not listening to what is being said here. If you really want to learn, then please open your mind to it. No one was rude to you in the first thread. But, honey, if they are now, you've asked for it with your "na, na, na" attitude and your opinion that those who tried to help you are b*s. |
^I agree with everything you said! She made a very good point. You think we aren't helping you because we aren't telling you what you want to hear. We can't hold your hand and say "Don't worry! Nothing can go wrong!" because the truth is a lot can go wrong. We are telling you the honest truth, and the breeders are giving you some darn good advice. Work with it, or don't, but don't try saying that you aren't getting advice. |
