It didn't work out....
 

I am soooo bummed. The yorkie I got my mom to help keep her company, well, it didnt work out. She is not/was not able to care for her the way yorkies should be cared for. Therefore, I now have Sugar. I am going to have to rehome her, I just cannot have 3. Sophie WILL NOT have it. I will be posting to rehome her, if my husbands mom/step dad arent ready for one yet. I am confused though as to wether she goes in the yorkies for sale or yorkie rescue/yorkie needs new home section. I have read both and not sure where to put Sugar.

So sorry it didn't work out! As far as I can tell I think either forum would be okay! I hope you can find a good home for her.

I have not... there is not a "return contract." We got her a few months back. It is the same breeder we got Rusty from. I will just pick and choose where she goes so she can find a happy, loving, treat me like a queen home :D

I would put the ad in both forums....couldnt hurt.

Its too bad it didn't work out. The same thing happened to my mom. We had and still do have schnauzers too and I thought a little one would be good for her after my dad passed away. She just couldn't do it and so we ended it buying her from her. Have you checked to see if the breeder might take her back. I know my yorkie breeder said she would take Kayla back up to a year. Hope everything works out.

Wish you lived closer to WA state. I sooo want a sibling for our little Pookie who is now 14 mos. old.

I hated it.... I went over there and told her I was there to help her out. Told her I was going to take a burden away from her. That I was taking Sugar. "Why?????" I told her that Sugar is in indoor dog and can't live in a kennel, when she is home Sugar should be out and that is not what she does. Sugar gets so hyper when you let her out she can't control her bladder (working on this). So instead of putting the diaper on her that I bought her she kept her in her kennel. :( SAD... I know, please no comments on how my mom should have not done that.... I explained to her that it just wasnt working out and that Sugar just wants/needs human contact and someone to love her... hold her on their lap etc....
Anyways, as she is crying she takes her out of her kennel, we give her a bath and now she is here.... laying around on the floor, chewing on toys and a bully stick. TRYING to run rule of the house but SOphie, all 2.8 lbs of her is letting Sugar know otherwise... it is Soooooo funny. :D
Anyways... we are working on getting her calmed down, not so hyper and working on the potty trainng issue and we have "set" time where we all set on the floor together (w/treats of course) and work on learning to set. Rusty & Sophie sure do like to "show" her how... well.... at least they like being showered with treats for all the setting, downing, and rolling overs they do :D

You're doing a good thing and good luck finding her a new home....Yorkies really do require a certain 'human' to take care of them - they aren't for everyone and it sounds like it just wasn't the right breed for your mom - GOOD LUCK ~ Post some pictures of her !

Well, we got a call from my mother-in-law last night.... her & my father-in-law would like to take her :D THIS makes me happy. I told her we would give it a try for a month and make sure that is what they want to do. So, we are meeting on Friday for the hand off and hopefully soon I will know for sure if that is where she is staying. It really saddens me to think of sending her somewhere I can't see her so this would be GREAT!!!

Well, today I went & met my M-I-L & F-I-L with Sugar, which is now "Sallee"
They are sooooo excited, especially my F-I-L. Here are pics of the new family. Thanks everyone for your support during this time. It was breaking my heart to have to find her a new home. I am so excited to have her with my in-laws!!!

Awww.....I have a funny feeling it's going to work out for all of you! Your FIL looks SO HAPPY holding Sallee! They totally look like a pair and she looks so comfortable with him. I'm so happy everything worked out this way. They look so happy with her. She sure is a little cutie pie!

I wrote the website down on her paperwork and told her there was lots to learn on here. Funny thing... my HUSBAND was telling them about the GE's we do.... you would've thought IIII would be talking about the GE and HEEE would be talkin about the knowledge!!
Hope they come on someday...we will see

P.S.... they live in Texas, so maybe if I get them coming on here then we can get them to come to some meetups out there. ???? They live in Haslet, anyone near there??
