What do we do it is getting worst?
 

We are having a big problem with Sherlock. He will not allow to us bath or play or cuddle with Sal since they started getting along with each other. Yesterday, our son Andrew was feeding Sal by hand and all of a sudden out of nowhere Sherlock jumped up and bite him on the hand and drew blood. It became an all out wresting match. Sherlock jumped on Andrew back and knock him down and was growling and barking at him. We had to separate Sherlock from Andrew so the he would not get hurt. I am very fortunate that Andrew is 18 years old and not a young child. We do not know what to do with Sherlock anymore. Do you have any suggest to help the situation?:mad:

Evidently Sherlock thinks he is leader of the pack, therefore, you all, as just followers of the pack, aren't allowed to interfere with Sherlock's territory, i.e. Sal. You're going to have to take ownership of Sherlock's entire area in the house as well as Sal in order to restore balance. Dogs get out of balance and begin to exhibit difficult or neurotic or obsessive behavior when they don't sense you as leader of their pack and they feel they must take charge.

A dog who thinks he's taking charge of things should not be allowed any dominant behaviors in the house. Don't allow them to sit on you or on your chair, don't allow them to eat before you eat or any of the other dogs eat, don't allow them their toys or any rewards unless they are earning them by waiting patiently for you to give the command and then doing what they are told. Don't allow them to walk ahead of you when walking them, don't allow them out the door first ahead of you...ever. Walk the dog daily and make sure the dog follows you out the door, not the other way around and that he stays at your side or just slightly behind during your walk. Don't allow the dog to enter the house again before you walk ahead. The dog must wait until you signal that he can come in.

All these behaviors signal that you are the boss of the home, not the dog. Once that gets through his head, Sherlock will be a nice cooperative dog again.

I am a firm believer in Ceasar Milan I love him. I try to use his advice but I am now having the same problem as Cathi with Sherlock.Yuri will not let anyone near me when he is next to me especially when we sleep together.he will growl ,bark then lung and bite. he has bitten my fiancee and son although he listens to me and has never shown any aggression towards me.the list of do's and don'ts you gave Cathi I can say he follows them all with me, no problem. Is this still considered pack leader behavior and what can I do my fiancee is not amused.
