New Photos of Lily & Her New Puppy, Holly! Lily is starting to get this "Mommy" thing now. It took a couple of days, but she now is being a better Mommy. She will now lay down on her own to feed her puppy when she cries. I do not have to get up with her at all in the night anymore. She feeds and keeps her puppy warm and content all night! We are not able to let our other two yorkies anywhere near her when she is with her baby as she is very protective. I think that Holly is enjoying not having to share the milk with any litter mates and is gaining weight beautifully. She looks very healthy!:aimeeyork |
Whoops! I Forgot To Add The Photos! 2 Attachment(s) Here are the photos! |
awwwwww. So she only had one puppie. What great pictures. Thanks for sharing |
Oh my goodness!! What sweet pictures. Her baby is so tiny. |
It is so tiny, but it looks chubby, tiny and healthy. This is the first time we ever bred our yorkie. What is a common size for newborns? Our puppy Holly was 3.5 oz at birth on Dec. 22 and today weighs 4.5 oz! She doesn't have any litter mates to compete with the milk supply!:animal-pa |
Awww, she's so teeny tiny! Mommy and baby are adorable! |
Awwwww....I was just going to say that I can barely remember Lexie's pups being that small just 10 weeks ago, but then saw that she only weighed 3.4 oz at birth. Lexie's pups were 5oz and 6oz. when they were born. Still, very small no matter how you look at it. Sounds like yours is gaining well. |
AWWW So Beautiful:) congrats to you both:) |
What a sweetie! |
