My Baby Died Tuesday Am.? I'm so upset, hurt, disappointed, frustrated, disgusted and most of all confused! I had a Litter of 3 puppies last year......I sold the only male to a very good Family, I kept the runt female, the last female puppy I gave her to my co-worker and close girlfriend (for "FREE"!) she named her "Cassie". At one point I was going to keep both female puppies but I decided that 4 Yorkies was too much for me! So I have the 3, Father, Mother and Baby. I used to bring them to my girlfriends house to visit and she used to bring Cassie over my House, since she refused to walk her that was the only contact she had with other Dogs? She had her own theory and ideas on how to raise a "Yorkie", and she did not agree with the way I raise mine! She claims mine are too spoiled, imagine that? Cassie was only 1 year and 3 months old, on Wed. @ about 4:30 am. my girlfriend called me crying but I couldn't understand her babbling my BF. cursed her out for calling @ such an early hour, @ about 11 am. another Friend called hysterical too! They both drove over after they told me that Cassie died this morning????? I kept asking "How", "Why" etc. I thought they were bringing me her body? She said that she had let Cassie out her front door to go Potty, and after she saw that she was using the Bathroom, she ran back into her Apartment to use the Restroom herself and when she looked for Cassie out front she was gone? After searching around her building, she found her dead in a sewer ditch right outside her walkway, she claims she climbed down to get her, she then bathed her limp body and drove her around in the back seat where she died, while looking for an open Vets. office? After that she buried her in a shallow hole on another Friend's Family Cemetary? I know for a fact she wouldn't have just fallen in that ditch without being chased by something or someone? Out of Fear, these dogs are not stupid and unfortunetly when you yell at them they run away from you? I'll never know the whole truth and I am truly stunned and shocked as well as outraged! I took Wednesday night off from work because I had been crying so much ever since I found out, I'm finally at the point where I can write/talk about it and I'm just trying to vent because I'm so mad, how could any one hurt/hit a 5 lb. Baby like that, let alone kill her? I have heard/seen her yelling in a rage and Cassie flinching and shaking so I can only come to the conclusion that she was physically abused which in her words was being "Disciplined"? I tried to explain many times to her that it hurts them and their feelings? I feel responsible for her suffering........I did not know she was like that? Obviously when it comes to raising animals and children they're are many different concepts but I know pain is not ever a good thing. Since I never saw her body, I was never really able to say goodbye and get closure I'm very sad, she was my favorite, she was the best out of all of them she was so easy to train and had the sweetest personality, I will miss her deeply and dearly! I am really heart broken, needless to say we are no longer "Friends", it's too awkward and irritating to be around her. In my heart I feel she killed her some how? some way? She's not telling me everything? |
My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry Cassie is gone but be happy she is no longer being mistreated. Poor baby. I am sorry for your loss. |
OMG - that is horrible. I am so sorry for your loss. If what you are feeling was truly happening to this baby all I can think is SHAME SHAME SHAME on your friend and if this baby was really being abused, at least now she's not hurting anymore. Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Please don't blame yourself for this. I have friends I have had for years and years that at some point have suprised and astounded me by some of the things they have done. Take care of yourself and keep your head up. Shelly |
I really feel for you, how horrible! The not knowing would kill me so I can imagine what you must be going through. Maybe someday you will talk to your "friend" and find out the truth. Don't beat yourself up. |
I am so sorry to read this, and in all acutality, if there is a drainage ditch that is big enough, they can fall down them. the thing is, she should have never left that baby outside by herself...This is why I have said over and over, sometimes I worry more about the adults getting a small yorkie, than I do a 3 or 4 year old..Again, I'm so very sorry....Hugs to you |
OMG, that is horrible, do think she got hit my a car? Why, would anyone leave such a small baby outside by itself even if it is just for a minute, a lot can happen in that minute that you are not watching them.. I never leave my baby out by himself and my yard is fenced in. Please don't blame yourself you didn't know she was like that and I am sure you thought she would be good to her. I would definitely ask her more questions to get some closure on this, but as far as being friends I just don't think I could do it.. I am so sorry to hear this, it breaks my heart.. Love and prayers to you.... |
I am so sorry for your loss, poor baby |
I can't imagine the heartache you are feeling right now. It must be unbearable. Just remember, you did nothing wrong - you trusted a friend to keep your little baby safe. I agree with Archie, you know your little Cassie will always be safe from harm now. Rest peacefully, Precious Baby Girl. |
I''m Sorry!!! this is so devastating I and so sorry you lost a dear pet and friend at the same time.A gift you gave from your heart she will always be remembered here.I know you are sad and angry and under stress and loss we can sometimes jump to conclusions. your friend may have had different views but I urge you to think things through a little longer after you have grieved.everything may have happened the way she said. they can be pretty fearless and curious creatures and she could need you right now.I am sure this is a lesson learned in raising dogs for her.PLEASE do not take me the wrong way but there must have been a time you trusted her you GAVE her one of your precious pups.I do not agree with her temper and history with cassie. I don't know her so you are the judge but right now everything probably seems muggy to you.I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS:cry8: :rip:DEAR CASSIE! :big_hug: to you and your family. |
That is very sad. I would be furious and lost if something like this happened to one of my babies. It is frustrating that you didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. Sorry for your loss! |
I am so sorry for your loss . . . I hope you will not blame yourself for giving her to your friend . . .you had the best intentions and thought you knew your friend so well . . . . |
Oh my gosh; that's terrible! I'm so sorry for you. But don't be too hard on yourself; you did what you thought was a good thing for Cassie. I can only imagine how awful you feel, it makes me feel terrible, so I know this has to really be affecting you. I just don't know what to say except I'm really really sorry. |
i am so sorry you lost your baby cassie...you helped bring her into this world and took care of her until she went to her home :( .. i am sorry your ex friend did not look over her the way she should have (leaving the puppy outside by herself while she ran to the restroom is inexcusable!!!) and the way i am sure you thought she would... prayers to you and little cassie :( |
Thats horrible and so sorry that your dealing with this right now... Best of luck... |
Sorry for your loss This is truly sad...I am so sorry that you are going through this...Some people just don\'t understand ..My dogs are like my children. I can\'t believe how some people can mistreat these innocent babies the way they do, but remember they will pay for what they do cause GOD does not sleep.:rbyorkie: |
