Roxy not Roxie & a wrong birth date & more! 4 Attachment(s) I adopted my 2 yorkies almost 5 years ago, but I had never received any paperwork when I got them. But TODAY - I finally got their AKC registrations & micro chip info & some pics of Bubba when he was just a baby. First thing I noticed was even though my female's original owner had told me ROXIE -- but all the paperwork says ROXY - wow won't that confuse people if they read my old posts where I talk about Roxie & see my changed signature with Roxy - LOL  Soon as I got to the computer, I started searching for info on both Bubba & Roxy's breeders - wondering if they are YT members. While looking at Bubba's AKC registration, I noticed his birthdate - again the original owner had told me Bubba's birthdate was Nov. 2, 2001 - she even had that date on the microchip info - but low and behold - AKC has his birth as Oct. 2, 2001 - so for yrs we have been celebrating on the wrong date. But the more interesting thing - Oct. 2 is also my birthday! So next, I'm thinking I better find out how to change their microchip info -- which I have wanted changed for a long time because if something happened I wanted my info listed. So I call the number on the form & after talking with this really nice gal for some time I found out that while the dogs have be chipped supposedly - the original owner failed to send in the registration forms to activate who they belong too   -- So at this point we have a vet appt on Friday, & I'm going to have my vet scan and make sure their chip numbers show up & are really there and then I'll get the dogs registered - which she told me I could do online & it is instant - which is nice to know. So, then I'm off on the journey to find the breeders - & hoping they won't be mad if they have contracts that said the dogs weren't to be rehomed first without checking with the breeder. Their original owner had Roxy's pedigree, but has lost/misplaced Bubba's. But I searched for Bubba's breeder - Anne Wiley listed on the AKC registration - and found her website - Hylan Acres (http://www.yorkiesathylan.com/index.html) - Bubba's sire is CH Tiffany’s Casey and dam is Chanceman’s Magic Casino. Anne & I have exchanged emails tonight. She has beautiful babies & she said Bubba looks a lot like his sire - who is also pictured on her website. I'm still trying to find Roxy's breeder - don't know if anyone can help?? Her name is Fonda A. Bennett. The sire is Bostron’s Tiny Peewee and the dam is Bennett’s Frisky Frolic. Roxy’s sire comes from a long line with the Bostron’s kennel name, and I did find that Missouri kennel online. Roxy’s pedigree also includes Hauser’s Terrific Tigre – who when I googled that name, found linked to numerous kennels as a sire – but I have no idea who his owner is/was. Anyone recognize any of these names? I know when Roxy's owner found the babies, she did so thru the Internet. The first owner couldn't find any pix of Roxy as a baby - but said she'd look some more, so hopefully, I'll get some before another 5 yrs passes  Ok, you have to see how cute Bubba was as a puppy - so here he is as a baby & him now. |
