Animal cruelty I do not post a lot and I am not sure I am in the right place here. But I felt I needed to share this. It was just on the news. I think the laws need to be changed so badly. It just ticks me off, (could think of better and stronger words) In B.C Canada, two dogs killed, one shot with a dart of some kind, I think an air dart or something in his eye, number two killed was an 8 month old puppy killed by slashing his throat. A man says his son was annoyed at the barking, give me a break !!!! Admitting his son did this horrific act to an animal and said that the people were warned about the dogs barking :( :( The dad says his son just snapped. :( But it was the Humane Society's fault) as they made many complaints. :( and nothing was done. One neighbor with small children have their house up for sale, too afraid to let her children out side, " if he can kill dogs, when he loses it" what can he do to a child that annoys him. A court date is set, and the news says the courts and the police are not as understanding as this boys father. ya think. I am a little angry right now that this kind of acts happens anywhere and the laws are not strict enough. I hope this boy is punished. I wonder how he would feel being abused. fines are like 2,000.00 and 6 months in jail and no pets for two years. This is not punishment enough in my opinion. I was so upset seeing the owners of the two dogs on TV telling their story, my heart goes out to them with this devastation and so close to Christmas. pooh's mum |
That's really sad. :( I will never understand why someone would do something like this. |
No Morals:mad: No respect:mad: and no LOVE at all:mad: This is why our world is changing for the worse every day:( Because of these idiots:mad:  |
Laws definitely need to be changed and made harsher for cruelty to animals. Animals feel pain just like humans do...they can suffer just like humans. America is supposedly a civilized place to live - no living being should be hurt and made to feel pain on purpose. And SO many people who abuse animals & kill animals eventually go on to abuse and kill people. These monsters need to be stopped early...maybe if they received a harsher punishment for hurting an animal, they would think twice about doing again..and wouldn't go on to hurt people too. I just don't understand how anyone can intentionally hurt an animal or person. I'm in town visiting my parents for the holidays (very small town where I grew up). I worked for the vet here for over 4 years throughout highschool and always visit when I come home. I went by there last week and as I walked in, there were a few people in the waiting room - a couple waiting to talk to the vet and a man on his way out. The man was telling the couple about how his neighbor had a rottweiler that kept getting out of the yard and coming over and chewing things up, including his shoes, and would bark and taunt his penned up dog. He kept telling the neighbor to control his dog, but the neighbor ignored it. He said he got tired of it and shot the dog. But...that he came home later that day and the dog hadn't died and his neighbor had to take it to a vet to get the pellets removed (he was laughing at this point)...ugh...I can understand being annoyed but it's NOT the freakin' dog's fault he has a sh*ty owner! I can understand shooting a dog if you or your pets life is endangered...but just for coming over and barking at your dog and chewing stuff up in your yard??? Come on... People just suck |
It was on our news last night that a lady working in a craft store went to throw away some garbage and heard crying in the dumpster. They dug through it and found a trash sack, opened it and there were 13 little pups. Sadly, only one was alive. They said they thought they all were alive when put in the sack. How can people do something like that and live with their selfs????? Kathy |
there is obviously something wrong with that boy and he does need help before he does this again or to a human. there should be harsh penalties for these terrible acts of cruelty, but mental help should be part of his sentance also. anyone that could do something like this is not right. punishment may scare him, but if he doesnt get help, he will likely do it again, no mater what the punishment. imo |
omg this is sooooooo sad!! i cannot believe some people... :( and a really scary thing is, "cruelty to animals" is one of three symptoms to potentially bigger PROBLEMS later on in life (playing with fires and bedwetting way past the age of being appropriate being the other two) sorry, this is my psych background coming into play here ... people who can do this to innocent animals probably have no problems doing it to people for any "reasons" that tick them off  |

Thats just sickening. As I always say....there is a special spot in hell for people who mistreat animals. |
I cry over this stuff every day. I wish I could clone myself and save every animal, but we all know we can't help them all. I sure try. It upsets me so much to see defensless little animals being abused. |

OMG! What is wrong with that guy? I agree with you! It is the owner's fault, not the dog!!! I would be scared to live close by that guy!! |
This kid is a Jeffery Dahmer in the making. I don't mean to over-react but come on....I got the shakes when I was driving on the freeway and hit a bird that was flying too low and slow and there was no way to slow down or stop. I don't even care for birds but inflicting pain or possible death with a detached killing device such as a car left me in a traumatic state. I can't imagine the sicko who can use his own hands and slash the throat of a poor helpless dog. It is so sickening to see the lack of humanity out there. |
i say kill the little bastard, sorry,, im pissed |

I just could not believe that father on the TV news. The way he defended the son, makes me feel he is not one ounce better. No wonder the son is the way he is. pooh's mum |
