what does confirmation mean?
 
i know what temperment is LOL but what is confirmation?

i got this off a website advertising yorkies.
Her pups have a wonderful temperment and confirmation. :confused:

I think that should read "conformation".
Conformation means "to standard".

What I always thought was conformation was their physical stature and the way they hold themselves:confused: . Kind of how they look physically.

both posts are right. They have to "look" and be built a certain way to conform to AKC standards.

Conformation simply means body structure; conformation for the yorkshire terrier is explained in the AKC/YTCA standard.

actually that is show conformation if you are wanting an actual definition


The form, structure, shape, and arrangement of the parts of a dog, as they relate and conform to the written standard of the breed.

I am sorry wasnt disputing what you posted just merely pointing out the definition of "show conformation" is different than "conformation"
