Supplementing dog kibble I have read over and over about supplementing dog kibble with vegetables, chicken, beef, eggs, cheese, and even milk. My question is: how do you not overfeed doggies? How do you measure it out? My two older Yorkies get 1/8 cup of kibble morning and evening. The younger Yorkie and Pommie get 1/4 cup morning and evening. I would love to add vegetables, fruit, etc. to their diet. Thank you for any advice. |

If you are feeding a high quality kibble and they are eating great, then you really do not need to supplement. If you really want to though you must remember to take out some of the kibble if you are adding other things. there really isn't any measuring involved. Just use your dog. If you notice they are getting thin or fat then adjust what your feeding. also, remember, dogs are carnivores and do not have digestive systems that are able to properly digest fruits and veggies. |
