And I'm so nervous! The poor thing was shaking so hard and when they took him from me I got a lump in my throat. :(

They're going to have to pull some teeth too. They also said that they'll watch him and if he starts going for the sutures he'll have to wear a protective collar. Oh he's not going to like this.

They're going to call me when it's done between 11:00 and 2:00. That's some long stretch! This is going to be one of those days. :sad:

Keep us updated. I know how you feel. Jeremiah got neutered June 10. I was a Worried Mommy On the Loose!. But I am sure he is ok and in good hands. Remember to keep us updated.

I know how you feel. I haven't got Deegan neutered yet because he's only 12wks, but I've been thinking alot about it lately. I am nervous too. But I just keep reassuring mysel that lots of other yorkies get it done and they all come out fine. So I am positive that the surgery will go well.

When he comes home, just be sure to give him lots of love :luvu: and try to keep him as comfortable as possible.

Good luck and keep us posted, I would like to know what to expect afterwards. :getwellso

Hi Deegan's mom, any reason you decided to get him neutered so young? Did your vet recommend it?

I know that feeling all to well. Mac and Mellie were neutered and spayed a week ago. They are both doing fine now. The vet kept them over night. I was actually surprised he used hidden sutures they weren't interested in licking the area at all. Brutus will be just fine.

I'm sorry, I hope I don't sound rude when I say this, but I think you misread what I wrote. Please don't take offence to that.
But I typed that I haven't gotten him neutered yet because he is only 12 wks old. So he won't get it done 'til he's about 6 months.
I just meant that I worry about that day and hope that it goes well when the day comes.

Not a problem. I would question why someone would neuter a baby that young too. I'm just glad that you didn't take offence.

Don't worry! Neutering is a routine procedure for vets. They do it all the time! I know how you feel though. When Riley got neutered, we were so owrried about the little guy. We have to get TJ neutered too at 6 months. When TJ gets neutered, I am gonna have a nervous breakdown and I know it. He is my baby!

Thanks everyone for the support! The vet just called and Brutus is doing fine. I'm picking him up at 5:00. I can't wait to see my baby! I'll let you know how he's doing.

Keep us posted...Maximus will be getting "fixed" very soon..I have an appt. on the 16th to go through the process etc. etc., and then I plan on having the laser neutering

I am sure he will be just fine but keep us updated on how he did. Chachi goes in to be neutered this month also.

I'll definitely let you know what to expect. I'm really nervous because I don't know what to expect either! My husband keeps calling and he feels bad for the poor guy. I just wish he's stop calling him Brutus the Ball less! :rolleyes:

yes! updaate soon!!!! Rex was neutered a while ago and he was exhausted and slept for a day straight and then he was himself. he has a cage but i felt so guilty because he felt so lousy i let him sleep with me. in the morning he woke me up with kisses and all was back to normal *sigh* :D :D

I was nervous too when i took charlie in to get neutered and some teeth pulled. I was thinking about him all day long, i was so happy to get him back. Of course i pampered him even more than usuall!

Were Rex and Charlie hungry when they came home? He hasn't eaten anything in so long! I hope they gave him water. I just don't know if he'll want to eat. Are they really sore? Can I hold him and carry him? I know I'm being a pest but I'm just a little neurotic right now!

Don't worry if he don't eat when he arrive home , it is normal .
