Car Insurance that covers pets?? I seen a commercial that Progressive Car Insurance now has a plan that covers your pets if they are in the car w/ you when you are in an accident. Does anyone of Progressive and do you know what this plan covers for your pets? I wonder what other car insurance agencies will soon follow and add this to their policies?! |
I checked with my state farm agent and he actually laughed; said it was just a gimmick! I'm not very happy with my agent at the moment. |
What does he mean it was just a gimmick? Was he saying that so you wouldn't switch to another insurance or what??? I may have to call around and see what other places say! |
I think he was saying it was a ploy for them to get more business; well, duh! They might end up with my business! |
oh that would be so awesome if more insurances could do that . . .I will see if I can check with ours :) |
I saw that commercial too!!! We don't have Progressive, but it will certainly be an added incentive to look into them! |
I saw that commercial too!!! I wondered about that. We have Allstate and was thinking about calling and finding out if they were considering it. It is definitely a great idea!!! :) I really like our agent, but think he will probably laugh at me. Oh well----wouldn't be the first time I was laughed at! ;) |
We have Progresive! I'm going to check with my agent. That's pretty cool! |
I sent this email to Geico today and I plan to keep bugging them about adding pets to car insurance. Maybe if enough people start requesting it, insurance companies will start offering it. :^) One can only dream ... "I am very interested in obtaining car insurance that also covers my pets which frequently are in the vehicle with me. Do you know when this will be available through Geico or is it only available if I switch to Progressive Insurance?" Let them think I'm considering switching insurance. I've been with Geico now for almost 30 years so they may miss me and my family as customers. |
