Megan....Congrats to you for getting Tucker again.....You'll have to take and post pics of your reunion!!! And don't forget to tell the lady he's already housebroken and trained by his previous, previous owners ;) That's usually one of their main concerns... Have fun with him tonight! |
Wow, I'm on vacation and haven't been able to check in often, but that's GREAT NEWS. It will be even better if the landlady doesn't raise a stink. But, just in case you were wondering, you can't have Rusty back. We're buds. LOL. He's doing fine, btw, with our dogsitter. She says she loves him and doesn't want to give him back. |
Oh what great news! Good luck with the landlady! |
  Congratulations   From all of us here..... |

I don't think bark collars are designed for teeny tiny dogs. Congrats, Megan! I know you must be excited! :D |

Congrats hun Im sure you two will be so happy to be together again. collar that will zap the heck out of him and Vinegar in the face????? wow I would never, that seems mean. |
4 Attachment(s) We've tried the coins with him before, but he thinks its a contest haha. He hasn't barked at all since he came home. I think its something about when theres more than 1 dog around they feel the need to bark? Because even when we're down the shore with him, and its just him, he doesn't bark at all there. Because there's not really a reason to. But anyway. I think just water in a spray bottle will work ok if he starts to bark. I'm really not a supporter of the shock collars. I know they aren't exactly cruel, I just don't like them. Same goes for the vinegar. The way I see it, barking is how dogs talk. They shouldn't be punished everytime they want to say something, just when it gets out of control. :) PICTURES! He hasn't been groomed in a while haha. My parents want to get him shaved, but I think he looks better shaggy. He looks like a conehead when he gets shaved. |

I only suggested the citronella as an alternative to shocking. Still not my favorite suggestion. Mine pretty much only bark at things outside, like when the neighbors come home (it's a townhouse, shared driveway, and our neighbors are loud). Maybe your new house just has less noise for him to bark at? Also, time outs work wonders. My trainer suggests asking for "quiet" and if they don't hush, then give them a time out in a crate or another room. She always says that if they can't behave, then they can't hang out with you! He's so cute! I love them short. |

He's a cutie. I like them better with at least a little hair too. He's got such a sweet face. I bet he's happy to be home! Yeah, vinegar in the eyes doesn't sound so great...if it doesn't feel good to you, why do it to the dog? |
What great news! I'm so happy for you, Megan, and for your family! Little Tucker is so adorable and he must be so happy to be home with you! Hugs to all...I'm tickled pink for you!!! |

Megan - that is great news for you and your mom. The doctor's note should help and I don't think they can toss you out if you have that cause it would be discrimination. Have fun getting reaquainted!!! |

Thanks everyone. :) We're all so happy to have him back. He slept in the crate last night. He barked for a couple minutes then went to sleep. So far, he's being good. :D The landlady can't kick us out because of the service dog, but we're thinking that she'll say its because of something else, when really its because of the dog (did you follow that?). Thankfully, we don't have to worry about the neighbors opening their mouths. Most of them never come outside, and the ones next door told us when we still had Maddie that they wouldn't tell anyone if we kept her haha. |
Oh Megan , i am so happy for you :D Kepping Fingers crossed that all goes well with the Landlady ! |
That is such wonderful news Megan!! I really hope everything works out!! And Tucker is soooo adorable, I really love the hair cut he has now. |
That is great news |
Great news Megan. Start some heavy duty training so you don't get kicked out....just alittle hint from Grandma Moses:) |
