We don't have pet insurance and don't plan on getting it. We keep money put aside so that if god forbid something did happen to Madeleine we could pay for it without freaking out about the bills. |
I heard that every year you have to get a "new" policy. There is no "renewing". That makes anything that happens "pre-existing" and not covered. They will pay until the end of the year when the policy expires, but after that everything is considered pre existing. True?? |

Bottom line: you have to shop around and be very smart before buying. But that is true of any insurance you purchase; auto, home, life, etc. |

Gracie's policy with VPI was a renewal this year. I did not have to reapply. I have the same policy number. |
Thanks for the heads up. |
they did not pay Quote:
screw them,,sorry i did so much more on there word he was covered |
UUGH! I can hardly jusify the amount we have to pay for us for family coverage (husband is self-employed, so no discount there:rolleyes: ). It seems like even people insurance has sooo many loopholes and things they won't cover. But since most emergencies for people can cost upwards of 40,000, I can't see not having it, especially with our child. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seesm like most pet emergencies usually do not go over 5,000.00. Also, will the vet allow you to make payments? If so, I'll think I'll skip the pet insurance and take my chances. |
