fixing eyes Im thinking of fixing noheas eyes her tear staining is driving me crazy the corners near the tear duct turns in so nothing but surgery will help the problem this is only cosmetic and 1700.00 which is a lot of money what do you think Nohea is my maltese |
anyone really need some advice |
I would really avoid surgery, just to much could go wrong. I wish you and your baby the best.:) Have a Merry Christmas! |
I keep putting off Bella's spay because I am afraid. I will do it but dread it. |
I have two maltese, too. As long as I comb out the hair by their eyes every day, they seem to be ok. I have also heard that giving them distilled water to drink can help. There is also something called fresh fur gel that a neighbor of mine used on her maltese. Good luck, but I wouldn't do surgery. That would be putting your dog in unecessary pain, IMO. |
Have you tried Tylan? I know a lot of Maltese people swear by it. It's an antibiotic, but apparently it has a low risk of building up antibiotic resistance. I've seen some pretty amazing before and after pictures with it. I'd try it before surgery. |
Yeah, I would try products with Tylan in it (Angel Eyes I think is one) before I would resort to surgery. I have a Maltese/Yorkie and lately her eyes have been staining a lot more, but she's 5.5 months, so I think it's due to the teething stage. If at 8 months or so, if she's still staining badly, I probably will do the Tylan thing. |
I don't have any advice,I just wanted to ask what does Nohea mean? Seems I have heard you say that. |
I would think surgery would be the last thing I tried. I'd ask the vets for some other suggestions. |
If I was to do a surgery like that, I'd have a specialist do it. If it's what you want to do, then do it. |
