I Need Some Help Please Do any of you know how to make pee-pads? I have been searching for some here in South Africa and cannot find any. I have phoned pet product manufacturers and importers and they haven't even heard of them:confused: I would be so grateful if someone could tell me how to make them. I need them for my MIL who is moving into a retirement home with her Jack Russel and also for my Coco who seems to be having a lot of accidents lately (rainy weather, she hates going out in the rain) Thanks guys. |
The ones I buy are from Valethics.com. They are actually reclaimed bed pads from hospitals and nursing homes. They also have brand new ones for sale, but I have found that the higher quality used ones are just as good:thumbup: Good luck:D! |
the ones I use are the reclaimed pads that hospitals and nursing homes use so if you have a medical supply place or one of those facilities near you, it is probably possible to get some there. tell them you are interested in the bed pads. You could cut one in half and hem it around the edges to make two. I order mine from the same place as the above poster but you might not be able to have them shipped to Africa. |
You've been given some good suggestions above. Hopefully you can find some near you. I checked to see how much the ones I make to sell would cost to ship to South Africa and it would be over $20 postage to ship two! |
If you would like to make your own -- check at a fabric store for plastic -- on a roll -- the opaque is easier to deal with. Sandwitch it between two layers of fairly heavy absorbent fabric, sew around the edges -- you could even hand stitch if you don't have a sewing machine and there you go..... Beware -- the plastic is difficult to sew so have patience. |
