Every time a doorbell on TV goes off, I have 3 yacking yorkies that run for the door LOL

Anyone else have this problem? :rolleyes:

YES! Also dogs barking on TV sets it off!!!

Murfee starts barking even before the doorbell rings.....and he barks when a doorbell rings on the TV. Our wonderful guard dog:D

LOL....YES!!! And everytime I have to get up, follow Max to the front door, pick him up and open the door, show him that there's nobody there (actually, I tell him that he scared them away and he's a very brave dog, LOL), and only then, does the barking stop. He also does it if I forget and leave the television on and that game show Price is Right comes on...there's all that dingdingdinging going on and it drive him (and ME) NUTS! I always try to remember to turn it off before that show comes on, but I have the news on that channel before then and I forget...until I hear the first "ding ding ding"....and then it's too late, LOL:rolleyes: .

Not with SoCo but Tequila (RIP) the sharpei would bark at every doorbell, tv or otherwise. What I found even funnier is that she would do this at the trailer where we never had a doorbell.. lol

Oh my goodness, I know EXACTLY how you feel. Marty and Maddie both go nuts when the doorbell rings or when someone knocks, whether on TV or in real life.

Yep! Or if anyone makes a knocking sound (like when I bang the filter from DH's espresso maker on the inside of the trash can):laugh:

Mine bark like that too. They also bark when family feud is on and it makes the ring noise on the show,lol!!

Oh, my goodness! I was just going to post about this.

What is the deal with all the advertising companies?? Everyone is using a doorbell in their commercials. Petco (or is it Petsmart) and HyVee (a grocery store chain based here but with stores throughout the midwest) and several other advertisers - plus several tv shows.

The craziest thing?? My little Roxie goes running every time, but I don't even have a doorbell!! She lived somewhere else the first yr & a half & apparently knows exactly what it means!!

My lil one also barks at the door bell ringing weather it's on tv/radio or the actually door bell. I too have to take her and open the door to show her that no one is there or else she just keeps on barkin n barkin.....I call her my energizer yorkie, she keeps goin n goin.... :D

Yes -Chico & Bitsy both bark at doorbells and doorbells on TV. Bitsy also can see dogs on TV and that sets her off.

Chico goes crazy at the washing machine now, because he thinks someone is inside when it "knocks" during the spin cycle!

Yes I do.. Cody James goes NUTS.. but I've been training him. my moms friend bought a magazine for training puppies. so i've taught him the word No Bark. It's okay. and it works!!
