Hahaha! We can always tell when it's payday there, the parking lot is packed, the line is forever. Once we had to wait in a 5minute line just to get to the registers:eek: And it always turns into an evening event when we go, LOL.

Here in Raleigh, North Carolina, the going rate is about $25 for a half hour visit. I'd say you got a deal!

OK I don't take mine in places where there is food so I don't advocate that, but I'd make an exception for an 8 week old. I just wanted to comment because I had a hoodie on Sam the other day and I had her in my coat with her hood on and people totally thought she was a baby... So stick a hoodie or a onesie on him and people will just think you have a baby :-)

To the point though, our local petsitter charges $15 for a walk/visit.

:D :D Last month I went on payday and it was a disaster:D The line practically went around the store, it took me a good 30 min. just to get to the regirster:mad:, then there was a rude lady blocking everyone talking on the phone:mad: I will never go to the commissary on payday, it's bad enough that it's always packed but on payday it's worse:eek: :eek:.

But you can always tell when it's payday because all the stores are packed:D :D

LOL!! I know all about the commissary on payday. I spent 4 years AD in the AF and hubby is still in as a Air Traffic Controller. We usually plan our trips right before or a few days after :eek:

Yes, I had never gone on payday and did last month:eek: It was totally insane..............That's the commissary :D You pay less but spend more time:D I will never go on payday again:thumbdown There was rude lady blocking a whole aisle, and after I said excuse me a few times and she ignored me,.I had no choice but to touch her cart and bump into it alittle, she was too busy on the cell phone:thumbdown :mad: It was mad, she then told the other person on the phone in spanish(hello I am mexican:confused: ) There are crazy people here, I turned back and said the only crazy one is you, blocking the aisle, and talking on the phone:mad: :D

yeah its harsh out there on the 1st and 15th lol. the line extends to the back of the store :thumbdown I usually wait 3-4 days after payday or before... You def spend less though and it makes it all almost worth the pain. I went to stater brothers the other day because it was on our way home, we bought a few things for dinner that night and breakfast to hold us over until we had time to go to the commissary and we spent $150 on just a few bags, I was like, what in the world did we buy?

I think your little one will be fine left alone for a couple hours while you're at the commissary, mine always have been and I have two. (I find it you get right there when the commissary opens at 9am you can get in and out fairly quickly). Just make sure to tire him out a bit before you go and he'll probably sleep the entire time.

Do you have an Xpen to put him in with some food/water, toys and pads? He needs to learn you won't always be there every minute and he is going to have times where he's by himself.

I'd say a neighbor who would charge you to watch a puppy is obviously not a friend so therefore I wouldn't consider leaving my puppy with a paid stranger. I'd feel better leaving him home alone in his Xpen to sleep and play with his toys.
