length of time for coats to grow in my yorkie is 5 months old. we recently took him to the groomer and they shaved him from head to toe by accident. He doesn't even look like the same dog! How long will it take for his coat and beard etc to grow in? thanks! |
 How do you shave a dog from head to toe on accident?  |
MY guess is that someone has asked to have their dog shave and got it mixed up with this one? I'm guessing. Didn't one get cut really down and they are having aproblem getting it to grow back???? Not sure! |
 One of my worst fears! ooooh...I would be pissed! How fast the hair grows back is going to depend on your individual dog...does his hair grow fast or slow? My yorkie's hair grows VERY slow so her's would take forever but my parent's yorkie has very fast growing hair so his wouldn't take long at all....so just depends |
I think I would be tempted to shave that groomer from head to toe - accidently, of course. :D I am so sorry that happed to you and your puppy. Hopefully his coat will grow back quickly |
Sorry that happen, it will take a good 3-4 months to grow back, you might want to keep your babie in a sweater:) |
welcome to YT! |
Give him another 5 mths and it will be just like it was before you took him to the groomers. He will probably need some cute sweaters till it grows back so he's not cold outside. |
thanks guys! I think his hair does grow fairly fast. We keep him in a puppy cut anyway. I think it'll take a month for half an inch to grow or so...or at least i'm hoping. I just want my dog to look normal again! |
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the groomers. It took Meka about 3 mo's for her coat to get full/fluffy again... |
I wouldn't be happy about that! :( Thank goodness I have a groomer I can trust. |
