It would be hard to keep them until 12 weeks and still place a puppy for $700.00. My vet charges a office call of 35.00 for each puppy when we go in for vaccinations and wormings at 6/9/12 weeks. The vaccinations, fecal exam and medication will add another 20.00 to the cost. I am looking at a final charge of $55.00 to $60.00 for each puppy on each of those visits.

There are some breeders who just want the puppy out the door as soon as possible to keep the overhead down and some just don't know that they need a little more TLC.

The area that I live in has passed a law that you can not place a puppy or kitten until it is 8 weeks of age. I can't tell you the number of buyers who will buy that 6 week old puppy from someone else ( law was passed and no one enforces the bloddy thing) and then will call me back for advice because they don't know what to do or the puppy is sick. Then they wish they had waited for the older puppy.

Ok so the puppy is registered Universal Kennel Club not United Kennel Club glad i asked before i purchased her. My husband doesnt want to take the risk due to the fact that there is no health Guarantee and we lost lycan so early on...but thank you all for your opinion I guess i will just keep looking.

you will find the right puppy for you. And when it's right you will know it will have evrything you are wanting and looking for in a puppy.

I just want to agree with everyone about the age. Even if you go ahead and pay for her, PLEASE ask the breeder to keep her til she is 12 weeks. I know the wait is hard, but you can visit her and those 4 weeks will mean so much to the puppy and you. I know some say 8 weeks is okay, but any responsible breeder would NOT even consider letting their puppies leave before 12 weeks..

We have decided to go ahead and buy one from yorkielovebug we are mailing the deposit today...she will be ready in 3 weeks i will post pics as soon as she sends them.

OK dont laugh her name will be Lady Luna Lycanthrope(we will just call her Luna) : heres the reason for our madness so our baby was lycan which is short for Lycanthrope meaning werewolf. so we thought it would be cool to name her Luna(for the moon) full moon=werewolf.

VERY VERY COOL! I love a name that has a good meaning behind it! Oh SUPER CONGRATS on your little girl. I agree I can't wait to see pics!!

I say go for it. Thats a good price. If the puppy is healthy and kept well that is a good deal.

Again i just want to thank everyone i love this site everyone is so helpful i knew more about yorkies than the breeder i went and visited yesterday...which kinda scared me here she is the one breeding and doesnt know about taping or shaving ears...or about their sensitive tracheas i am glad we decided not to buy from her.
