Crazy so yesterday i vented about how i worry about taking my baby out in public or for walks...when i do i hold on so tight to her and just am aware of my surroundings...SO TODAY.. im out with my baby girl and girl around 15/16 start to tell me how cute my dog is (LOL which hellllooo i already know lol:D ) and starts asking me questions..well i say goodbye and start walking a little further...well i ran into her again and this random girl asks "CAN I TAKE YOUR DOG TO SHOW TO MY MOM BC I REALLY WANT ONE LIKE YOURS!!" --->WHO DOES THAT:mad: ?? i dont even know this person and she says this too me!! PEOPLE THESE DAYS!! |
thats always scary, I took Oliver to a fair one time here and one of the carne (sp?) guys, (the guys that work the little games and stuff) Oliver had walked near him and the guy picked him up and started petting him and talking to him while I was walking him. I was like ummm put my dog down please. I really dont like people that dont respect another persons or dogs space. "can i take your dog to show my mom" lol uhh let me think about that... no never not ever dont ask again. Like you were just going to let this girl you dont know walk your dog to her house and show her mom? |
i dont think people understand they are our babies and need to respect that space!! eww and that carnie (sp) just grabbing your baby is scary!! they are weird as it is!! lol |
That's one of the reasons I never let Murfee walk around people, I always carry him when people are around. |

I know what you mean. She was just a young girl though, and probably had good intention, but I definitely would have felt the same way! |

ROFL....probably a 15/16 yr old girl who isn't aware that people steal dogs all the time:doh34: . If I remember correctly, I didn't do a lot of deep thinking about things beyond what was happening in the here and now when I was that age, LOL. I don't blame you for thinking how goofy it is though:D . |
Oh yeah... One thing Ive learned with a Yorkie is to always expect the unexpected... These little pups really do have an effect on people. Ive heard some of the craziest things since getting Meka in May :) |
ITA :D she probably had no clue...BUT it would still make me very uncomfortable...and i do not blame you at all for being weirded out! i already have my response mapped out for these "requests" ... i am either going to say my dog bites (lol) or that he has a bladder problem :p hehe Quote:

Common curtousy seems to be a thing of the past. |
I had one lady ask how much was I asking for my dog. I was walking Jambo and she sees him and carries him and pets him. I have a hold on his leash. I am pretty lax when it comes to people giving him attention because I want him to meet a lot of people and most of the time people mean well but she had the nerve to ask me how much was I willing to sell him for. I hardly think walking my dog and being friendly is advertising to sell him. I just laughed, told her I don't think so and took my dog back. She then asked me if I can find a puppy like him for her because she was having such a difficult time looking for one as cute. Did I look like a puppy broker? I don't know how many times I am asked to get a puppy like Jambo for them. It gets damn annoying after a while. |
As hars as that. I can totally see my son (who is 7) say that to someone walking a yorkie because he knows how bad I want one. i truly think that maybe you walking with her holding your baby wouldnt have been so terrible.. But them i'm more kind hearted I guess. |
What gets me is the people that hold their hands out and just expect you to hand over your dog just like that:confused: another is when they just pick your dog up without asking...i have now learnt that i have to pick Pixie up FIRST before they get a chance to;) |
crazy....ya just never know...... |
