Yorkie likes and dislikes I am a new mom of an older yorkie teapot and would like to hear about your yorkie's likes and dislikes. I think this might give me a better handle on Gus's temperament and behavior patterns. He is not anything like the other dogs I have had. Thanks in advance:) |
Emma-loves FOOD, weekends, belly rubs, fleece blankets, puzzle toys, soft sweaters, and snuggling close at night. Dislikes being left home alone, Mondays, riding in the car, being cold, some kinds of lettuce, and pants/shoes. Milli-loves to make funny noises as if she's talking, vegetables, her puppy bed, squeaky toys, meeting new people. Dislikes-clothes, cheap dog treats, baths, and others getting attention she feels she deserves! |
Deiter is very easy going. He likes everthing and anything. He doesn't like change. If you change something that has been there for a long time, he does't like that. hahaha, he doesn't like to be left behind, what I mean is if I go down to work and leave him up stairs he gets upset. He likes to go every where I go. That is only because that is what I have done with him since a puppy. Welcome to YT |
Tessa likes dogs, she's not sure about cats yet, playing with her friends, eating everything off the floor ( her nickname is Swiffer!), she also loves Tea so I found out this morning when I caught her with her nose in my cup! She hates being alone, doesn't like loud noises and definitely doesn't like being ignored!:D |
They like attention, come when called, if THEY feel like it, love to snuggle, like treats. Is ther any thing in particular that you are wondering about? I would love to see pics. Some of mine have been hard to completely housbreak. |
My guys love belly rubs, treats of course, ear rubs, giving lots of kisses. They would rather play with each other instead of toys. They chase each other around and play what I call doggie tag. It's really funny to watch them. |
Maggie:- Likes: to play fetch, wrestle w/ her lil' sis, snuggle up really close and under the covers in bed, to go for walks, treats, to give kisses, to be clean (after bath), to chew her raw hide bones, to chase birds... - Dislikes: to take a bath, to be brushed, big dogs/animals, long car rides, to brush the teeth, to take meds, to be ignored, to be left alone, loud noises... Hannah:- Likes: to play fetch (not always), wrestle w/ her big sis, snuggle up really close in bed, treats, to brush the teeth, to give kisses, to be clean (after bath), to try and steal Maggie's raw hide bones and chew 'em, to chase birds, to be on my lap... - Dislikes: to take a bath, to be brushed, big dogs/animals, car rides, to take meds, to be ignored, to be left alone, loud noises, to go for walks... |
Daisy LOVEs attention-kisses/rubs,, playing - fetch/toys/daddy's hands  ,, treats and people! She doesn't like getting scolded [for being naughty], being ignored, thunderstorms, the vacuum, the mailman or plastic bag noise.. :D oh she also HATES Big boxs!!! haha! |
Thanks for all your answers, I guess I should tell Gus's, at least what I know. He has been with us for four months. From what I can tell...... Gus likes...sleeping on a fat, fluffy pillow, cheese, dog treats, going outside, coming inside, being brushed, having a back/belly scratch, a BlowDryer (whoever heard), sitting on mom or dad's lap/recliner, and peeing all over my house (!?) Gus dislikes......other dogs, cats, coming out from under a bed/sofa (he bites, HARD), baths (but he is still good), being touched while sleeping, taking medicine, being crated. He is indifferent to toys, correction, his name. |
My guy likes to be taken everywhere we go. He hates being left alone. In fact, he had diarhea from stress when I went to get groceries yesterday morning and left him for three hours:( He loves car rides and riding around in my purse. He dislikes his puppy fence but is learing to tolerate it. He hates walking on a leash and we're working on that. And I think he might like beer cause everytime hubby pops one open, he jumps up in his face and tries to lick all over the bottle:yelrotflm |
