Great checkup!
 
I just took my puppies in for their 6 week checkup and shots! The puppies were angels of course (I was so proud of them). Only my little boy cried when he got his shot. Some of you know I was worried he might be deaf, she says probably no (still hard to tell), and his legs seem fine, too. I've been pretty worried about him, he is the one who wasn't eating at first.

She gave me Sintinel for them - heartworm with flea inhibitor. Said it was ok to give at 6 weeks, so I am waiting on an OK from some of you who do this?

Thats great news!!! I don't know about the flea medicine on pups that young but when Jewels was little they told me to only put half of it on.

This is a little pill for 2-10 pound dogs. :confused:

Oh sorry I read wrong I thought you were talking about the flea/tick meds. Jewels and Chachi both took the whole heartworm medicine when they were little.

Glad to hear they are all doing fine!!! My vet has never given me anything for fleas for little puppies. I would do the same thing you are and see what someone more knowing may have to say. Sorry I can't help on this matter Laura. I'd love to see new pictures of your babies!!!!!! Hope your little Mamma is all better!

Congratulations !! Chanel was given that as a small baby - it's safe for puppies - we got a special size dose just for her weight size

Chachi's mom - It is BOTH called Sentinel Flavor tabs. It kills just the flea eggs or something like that, and also does heartworm, for 2-10 pound dogs. But the puppies are only 6 weeks old.

Hi Julz - They are great! Zowie is all better too. She got better in one day after going to the vet. She is still nursing them all, they are eating soft food, too.

Thanks Villette! The two littlest are below 2 pounds - what do you think???

When Chanel took those - she was below 2 lbs...more like 1-1/2 so I would think your babies are ok - it was pretty new on the market when we got it 3 years ago - but my vet said it's very safe -

What little dolls you have Laura! You have every right to be proud! So glad the little boy is not deaf and they all did well at their visit.

Thanks! I think they are beautiful, but I am their grammie! I was so pleased with his checkup. He weighed 1#4oz - I was very happy about that, too.
