Yorkie prevents a robbery! Some may remember me talking about Ollie's friend Mickey who has the last name Mause (pronounced mouse!!) He is also 8 months old and lives just a few blocks from us in our very nice neighborhood.... BUT a few nights ago late at night Mickey was barking and barking at the back patio door and his mom let him out and he would NOT stop barking or come in when she repeatedly called to him --so fearing he would wake the entire neighborhood she went out to get him and that is when she saw someone walking away from the back of her neighbors house so she ran in and woke her husband and called her neighbor and they found that the back door was almost broken into to!!! Mickey is a hero in our neighborhood now!!!! |
Yeah, Mickey!! Good job! Dynamite comes in small packages ;) You should get him a Security tank top. :) |

I always hate when people say dogs shouldn't bark or try to get dogs to stop - because some naturally know what is going on. My Roxie is a great guard dog. Mickey sounds like a great security detail member!! Bet he gets some extra goodies :) |
huray for mickey ;) i love to hear great stories like that;) |
Great outcome!! Good for you Mickey! |
Mickey you did good...you deserve lots of credit...:animal36 |
Way to go Mickey. |
I have always known that yorkies are gifted as gaurds...Once about a year ago a friend of mine were walking our dogs pretty late at night on a popular trail in Seattle. It has lots of traffic all day so we did not think anything of it to walk at night. Well we were in the city so we also did not think about it when we got to an area that was not so well lit that we saw a transient man walking/staggering pretty slowly. We continued talking and walking and passed the man, but Bruce kept stopping and turning around and barking his head off and would stand on his hind legs and show his teeth...So I naturally tried to speed us far ahead of the poor guy thinking Bruce was being a jerk...He kept doing it, and then my friend and I noticed no matter how far ahead we got the guy was right behind us...Bruce kept on trying to alert us something wasn't right, so I picked him up and we kept walking briskly...Then we heard a large thud, the man had a piece of pipe up his sleeve that fell out. TO this day we think he was going to attack us but Bruce kept making us look back and we did not get distracted enough for him to have an opportunity...Yorkies are excellent watch dogs!!! |
good examples why we should not make our dogs stop barking as soon as they start. they need to tell us something. They bark for a reason. |
Way to go Mikey, good work! |
Great story's!!! They both need Security tank top's. :bravo: :bravo: |
