Poor Katie & Codie - We Got Kicked Off The Beach!!
 

I am SO upset because I took my babies to the beach yesterday and we were having a good time, swimming and building sand castles. Jim (my hubby) even buried Katie in the sand - LOL - she looked SO cute! Then some lady was patrolling the beach came over and told us that we had to leave because dogs are not allowed on the beach. I pointed out that there were a TON of dogs on the beach and she did the polite thing and gave me a ticket!! Anyway, we all packed up to leave and we were walking on the boardwalk when I saw her talking to a group of guys who were playing frisbee w/ a big dog - I think it was a lab. She did NOT tell them to leave or give them a ticket. She was petting their dog and chatting with them. So I walked up behind her and was listening in on her conversation and she told them it's ok to let the dog stay but don't let anyone else see it. Then she turned around to leave and saw me and my BIG group of friends (I made the come w/ me as witnesses!!!) She was stuttering and all confused. To make a long story short, I called the cops and they said I didn't have to pay the ticket. I don't know what happened to her but her superiors said she would be handled firmly.

Oh my gosh, that is insane! What was that cop's problem? Geez! I hope the ticket wasn't too bad. Your poor babies! I hope you had fun while it lasted!

What a jerk!!!! I'm glad you called the cops on her. What a b***h. Sorry for my potty mouth but that makes me mad. Everyone should have to conform to the rules if they are firm.

Unreal ! A big dog leaves a BIG mess on the beach ...what was that cops problem ? How great that you caught her red handed - serves her right...I would have been upset too - if she handed YOU a ticket she should have handed everyone a ticket - OR let the dogs stay - That's such a shame - was there another beach to go to that lets people bring their pets ?

I am sorry this happened to you. I am glad you had a good time while you were there though.

There are a couple of other beaches (outside of Brooklyn) that allow dogs. I agree - a big dog leaves a BIG mess. My dogs poops are SO little - they're the size on my finger or smaller! Not to mention that I brought bags to pick up any poops. Maybe she was annoyed because I answered her backand pointed out the other dogs on the beach. Who knows! But someone like her should not be in a position of law if she picks and chooses who she wants to enforce it on and who she doesn't! My dogs are sweet and never harm anyone.

Why would she do such a thing? Some people can be so confusing for their actions. But I am glad you and your babies had fun while it lasted.

That's one thing I love about our place in Mexico! No beach rules!!!!!! I'm so glad you turned her in and don't have to pay the ticket! I know how two little yorkies could just destroy an entire beach! Not to mention terrorizing all the swimmers and sunbathers with their ferocious teeth! (sarcasm.)

EXACTLY! My Maltese and Yorkie are my children - my babies!!!

We have Lake Michigan and they made a special part of the beach for the dogs. It is great. They have plastic bags at each end with a garbage can to dispose of their mess. It is really great. My older one Corky loves to go there, and Little Wynstn Too has not been there yet, I was waiting for him to get all his shots. There are all kinds of dogs that go there with their owners and all have fun. :)

Jennifer thats terrible! I would have called the cops right then and there in front of her and have them come and deal with her immediately in your presence! That is unreal!

I bet she had a quota to fill or something! Why does she have to pick on the little guys? They were just minding their own business and having a good time. Well, at least they got to play for a little while. I would take them back again, I bet she won't mess with you any more.
