Pee question Rudy does really good using his pee pad pan while in his crib but when we come home and he greets us after getting him out he always seems to pee. How or what do I do to get him to go potty ? Should I have another pan for him and take him to it right away so he knows that he has to go after he gets out ? I mean kinda like when you have a dog that is older that when you come home he greets you and then let him out? That is what I do with my cocker.. any insight i would appreciate.. Thanks |
I'd pick him up as soon as you walk through the door and put him on the pad. He's just peeing, because he's so excited. |
I agree with Yorkiekids... hes piddling out of excitement. I had that same problem with Meka. I was told that when you get home, you need to ignore them for the first few minutes.... then let him out after he's calmed down. It works - at least it has w/ Meka. If all else fails, taking him directly to the pad wouldnt hurt... though hes not peeing cause he has to go.... hope this helps :p |
