Fly Girl Sophie is on a *mission*. She is chasing every fly in sight, and she is relentless. She cannot be distracted, even to eat or nap :animal-sm We had a party for our teens Sunday evening. About 60 teens showed up and a few adults. So...a couple of flies got in to the house from all the kids going in and out of the door. Sophie has had such a great time chasing them all over the house that I've decided not to kill them...yet :D She's doing it outside, too, on the back patio. My husband was outside reading yesterday for a couple of hours and he just watched her as she chased flies. When I brought her in for water, she just laid on the cool hardwood floor and napped for a moment, then she was up again. She's only been up for 30 minutes and she's already hard at work. All this time I've been looking for a toy she would love - something to keep her busy and occupied. Who knew it would be a fly? :p |
That is SO cute - I love the determination she has - and you're right - who needs toys when you have flies ? Chanel does that too - then she thinks they get in her hair and goes nuts shaking her head - with all the hair she has... I bet she really feels it in there even though I check for her...I have to keep telling her there's nothing there - but she doesn't believe me :D |
My Schnauzer always loves to chase flys. We're having a strange summer so far, no flies! I don't know why. I expect them to start invading any day now. |
We have double glass doors we use to enter and exit our house and Pirogue has discovered that flies will try to go thru them and he sits at the glass waiting for one to get low enough for him to snap at. I haven't seen him catch one yet but he does try. Sylvia |

Zowie loves to go after the flies, and so does my husband. Not at the same time, though. When Zowie hears the words 'where's the flyswatter', she runs for cover. I think she figures the only way to get rid of the flyswatter is to eat them all herself. The fly's lurk on our patio until the door is opened and they swarm in - in herds  |
