Seasonal Affective Disorder :rain: I think my Chloe has Seasonal Affective Disorder. Ever since the weather changed to the ugly, dark, rainy mess that it is now, my puppy sleeps constantly. Does this happen to anyone else's dog? |
Maybe you could get her a lightbox :p |
Not happening for us so far. But it happens in humans, so why not dogs??? Maybe you could get a sun lamp in one of your rooms for him. I know it's proven to help humans. Good luck, keep us updated. i am interested in knowing about this also. :) |
Poor thing...I feel for her...I have that, so I can sympathize. Not sure how to help out w/ dogs, but I can make a few suggestions worth trying...let her sit near some windows that have sunlight coming through...that will give her some extra UV rays AND subdue the natural nosy tendancies of Yorkies. Maybe it will help.:) |
I was diagnosed with SAD when I was a child and I have a lightbox that I use everyday. I started to notice that Simon and Hallie were both a bit "blah" with it getting darker earlier so I pulled out the box and I think we all benefit from it. |

I also suffer from SAD so I use neodymium bulbs in all the ceiling lights in the house. I think the animals benafit from them as well. They are full spectrum lights the fit in regular light sockets  Eileen |
