Bully stick pieces?
 
Can anyone tell me who sells the bully stick pieces? I want to get Delilah some for her Christmas stocking. I remember someone talking about these and thought since she is so tiny they would be perfect for her.

you can get them online, or at most of the pet supply chains!!! My boys love them, but they are pricey.

I've never heard of bully stick peices? Are they smaller than the regular bully sticks?

I think she just means bully sticks. I've never seen anything saying pieces. They come in several different lengths. I think 6,9 and 12, but not sure. I know "red barn" is a big distributor of them.

No these were not the sticks...I have gotten the sticks and have to split them down the middle...I could have sworn someone was talking about something smaller...maybe it was not called pieces but they are not as thick. :confused:

I've never heard of this. The bully sticks I get Mocha are 4 inches long and they're the perfect size for him. He's 2 pounds and doesn't have trouble chewing it. Your baby must be super tiny! Hope you find them :thumbup:

In the checkout isle at petco's they have the braided 4 inch stick. perfect for a yorkie under 4 pounds. yogi chews the 6 inch braided

The length is not so much the problem...they are so thick. The ones they sell here at the Co-op are like two put together. There is a seam like thing that I usually saw between but it is a job!

Well the ones at the counter are half the thickness of the regular ones. they are braided and tied off on the ends. about the thickness of your two pinkies

My 6" sticks are fairly thin. The longer ones are thicker.

Does anyone else think the bully sticks stink?? I think they smell like something dead!!! We ordered the free range ones, but they smell too. :p

hehe ya they stink but its the best treat yogi had every stuck with. we use the doggyfresh stuff in his water so his breath doesnt smell from it.

The first ones I ordered smelled a little bad, but they were bearable. I just ordered a bunch from another website and they look great, but they smell horrid lol. I just got some Moo bully sticks, they're supposed to be odor free. I smelled it at the store to make sure, and it didn't seem to have any bad smell to it. But after it's been licked and chewed on, the smell definately comes through :p Has anyone been able to buy any bully sticks that don't smell?

I remember sombody talking about them, but I can't find that thread back!! :( I think there was a site listed on the thread where you could get them. I did a search and nothing came up either :(

I also did a search and saw where Chattiemom had ordered some from a fella on eBay and I gave his eBay store a look and found some that I think will work.

Oh, and does anyone know how long these keep? It was more than Delilah will eat any time soon. Anyone have suggestions on how to keep them fresh? Wonder if you can freeze them?

Oh, don't worry about it!! I sell the sticks, but not the pieces...I just looked at my paperwork, and I can't get the pieces. :(

I don't know how long they keep..You could put them in a zip-lock bag to keep them fresh. I package mine in a resealable bag to keep them fresh!

They do have pieces that come in bulk. I've seen them on ebay. I wouldn't get those though. I always like to get the 12" ones because my kids can chew them down in no time at all. The other day actually, I noticed Riley chewing but his mouth was closed (it looked like he was chewing gum). I realized it was a small piece of a bully stick. I was trying to fight him to get it out of his mouth and he almost started chocking. I literally put my fingers down his throat and pulled it out. Talk about scary. Just make sure to throw them away when they get too small. I saw bully sticks at Pet People the other day that were 3 feet long. They were only $10. I'm gonna put a couple of those under the tree. My dogs are gonna freak out. :p

Dental fresh is the stuff you put in their water, they love it and its good for their teeth and gets that bullystick smell out.
