Hope this helps you.... |
PS Charlie's always stays in place and wash his "whoo whoo" daily to make sure no infection sets in from the urine. |
Yes, the belly band. I ordered 4 bands for my neighbor's 8yr old male. She thinks they are wonderful. Tuffy does not try to take his off. He acts like he has worn them all is life. :) |
Just wanted to say that I hope you can find a solution. I don't blame you for not wanting your baby to crawl around on the carpet where your furbaby has had accidents. That would not be good!!! Hopefully, others can offer some advise to help you so everyone will be happy!!! Best of luck!!!! |

Best of luck with the belly bands. I sure hope everything works out and your baby gets to stay with you. By the way, he's ADORABLE!!! |
My little girls were very difficult to potty train until we got a dog door. Now they come and go as they wish and NO more PEE on the floor! |
Sounds like you have good advice from the posters here. But, don't give up on housebreaking. My Molly spent a lot of her first two years with my grown children as I was in and out of the hospital. When I finally got her back I realized she was just confused because we weren't 100% consistent, so I started over. I resisted using a crate at first, but it does work beautifully! It keeps them from having accidents and only having good behaviors to praise and reward. She adores her crate. It's a small cage with a cushy pad in it, not a traveling crate (which she also loves). She was 100% trained in just a couple months. Let me know if you want details on how I did it. Kathy P.S. I'm in a wheelchair, too! |
BTW, Molly doesn't live in her cage. Now that she is trained, she chooses when to go. She didn't live in her cage while I was training her either - I agree with you about making a dog live in a cage. I just used that and a leash to stop accidents. Kathy |
