So Sorry I am terribly sorry for your friend. I would really suggest cremation, I had a little Pup creamated just recently, the cost was $95.00. That way, she can keep her till she's in a permenant place to bury, or just keep the tin in a special place. Time is the only healer. |

This is just so sad!!! I cannot believe he got sick so quickly and died!!!! I am so glad you are there for her and bf. I hope she can figure out what happened to him. Please tell her that I am sending her love & prayers from NC. Keep us posted!!! |
Oh my, I feel so horrible for her. And her sweet Major ^i^ too. Poor little guy :( I agree with the cremation suggestions. Please send her my prayers & positive thoughts :hands: |
Pet cemetary I am not big on cremation... guess I don't like fire. A lot of humane societies also sponser pet cemetaries. She should wrap him up in his favorite blankie tonight and put him in a shoe box... or small ice chest ... that she doesn't mind throwing away. And def. contact the breeder... and def. get your dog checked! |
I read the other thread. She said he was 7 months and she wasn't sure if he'd been vaccinated against rabies? How old was he when she brought him home. Most vets give a rabies vaccine between 12 and 16 weeks of age. I don't know if he could have been exposed to a rabid animal, but if he wasn't vaccinated and was exposed then it could have been rabies. She really should have a necropsy done to find out what killed her puppy. |
I didn't realize he was 7 months old when you posted that pic, he was so darn tiny. I'm guessing since he was extremely small that it had something to do with that(liver shunt, hypoglycemia, organs failing). I know London is such a tiny thing that she should definately contact the breeder and let her know. There was a very tiny yorkie(Pinochio) that only lived to be 2 and was healthy up until then, just very small. Sometimes the smaller ones just don't make it very long. I hope your friend knows that there was nothing she could have done to prevent it, it just happens. Also I hope she knows, you can't just catch rabies. They have to be bitten by an animal that has it. It's highly unlikely he was. I've alway said that if my little dogs got rabies it's being bitten that would kill them because they're small, not the actual rabies. |
So sorry for your friends loss sending her prayers &. Let us know if u find out what happened to Major. |
