new member/and looking for yorkie, ny, ct, nj areas Hi, I'm glad I came across this chat line. I was a yorkie owner now searching again. I live in NY area, just came back from puppypetite in Bklyn, that everyone has spoken about and it was a joke. My husband and I walked out. I did some research first on Yorkies and once they stated "teacups" I knew it wasnt going to work out there, it was overcrowed with customers, quite a number of yorkies, I kept emailing the store and asking about bloodline which went no where. Well thats over So I'm back to looking for a breeder in NY, Ct, NJ area. If there are breeders reading on this chat I would definately look u up. I was interested in showing, but after speaking to a few breeders that show they felt its a big job, expensive job and every minute of your life, so I may pass on this, but would still like a champion bloodline. My first yorkie I thought was from a breeder, died at age 8 of kidney failure which I supplied him with i.v. fluids for 2 years, but during his entire years there were problems, but it didnt matter I would do anything for him then. Now I'm back again looking |

another section There is a breeder section... says like... wanted / for sale. You can probably find a breeder there. I haven't been on here long enough to know how many of the breeders are show breeders... but I do know there are several w/ really well known excellent lines on here! I am however not sure if there are any in your area! Check out the other section and post the same thing! Good Luck |

My yogi was flown in from arkansas. I am from the midwest and people there are so nice and the lady i found was a huge help in the whole process. ill get with the wife later to pass the website on to you. my girl is also coming from another breeder in arkansas. I couldnt find a good breeder in california to save my life. Im sure new england wouldnt be much different. I just find that in places like cal, florida, vegas and new england is hard to find anything that isnt a ripoff. no offense to anyone located in those areas. good breeders in the more populated regions of this country are hard to find. |

welcome to YT! Good luck on your breeder search. There are some great breeders here. i've discovered tho that most in this area are a bit pricey. There are some here that ship from other states and i would look into those too. |

Yogisdad PM me w/ your arkansas breeder. My parent's best friend is a breeder in arkansas . I get a couple of puppies when I am down there and resale them here... in an effort to put this pet store out of business here who charges 3000 per puppy and they live in horrible yucky conditions.... so I sell them way cheaper! lol. Anyway... just curious if you got from my friend! |

Have you tried the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Breeder referral? Their breeders must adhere to their "code of ethics and conduct" to conform to the breed standard as approved by the American Kennel Club. I found my two yorkies through breeders in Connecticut and it was well worth the drive. There are several in the NY area. Here is the link: http://www.ytca.org/breeder4.html#NY Good luck! |
